Hi, everyone! I'm a pretty new fan of Buffy--only started watching this year, around April, and finished both Angel and Buffy mid-June. The only other Whedon show I've watched is Dr Horrible. The reason I started watching BtVS in the first place was because I also have an obsession with HIMYM, where Alyson Hannigan plays Lily, so I decided to check Buffy out. And boy, am I glad I did! 🙂

My ships? BtVS: Buffy/Spike <3, Xander/Anya, Willow/Oz, Giles/Jenny, Faith/Robin, Spike/Dru (before season five)
AtS: Fred/Wesley, Wesley/Lilah, Angel/Cordelia, Cordelia/Doyle

You can also find me on LJ. Right now, most of my posts are HIMYM fics, but I'll probably foray into writing fic for Buffy.

I haven't read any of the Angel comics, and I've only read till Predators and Prey for Season 8--Can't say I'm loving it. Please tell me it gets better. It has to get better.

Anyway, great to be here with fellow Buffy fans!
 
Welcome to the boards. Glad you've watched Dr Horrible, too few have. Which also goes for Firefly and Dollhouse but won't force you to watch them just yet. 😉

The comics? Well...

I haven't read the last two arcs and haven't read up on the news for season 9 but from what I've gathered you probably won't love the rest of season 8 either butseason 9 could be much better. Which they have to say not to scare even more people I guess. Lets hope someone with more knowledge/insight comes along and get you up to speed.

Also nice to see younglings becoming fans. You'll have people old enough both to be your parents and even grandparents. But that's not negative, just one of all the great things about this place.

Like you I just started watching BtVS last year and instantly fell in love. Now I'm obsessed with the Whedonverse. 🙂
 
Hurrah another Spuffy! Welcome aboard 🙂 Yeah I'd definitely recommend checking out Firefly if you ever want to watch more of the Whedonverse, you won't regret it.
