I don't know a single artist who's worth their salt that can't take a little critique now and then.

I'm definitely interested in whatever you're working on; I hope you can find a way to work around this without altering any of the crests, though.

It's not rude to offer an observation. I just thought it was a little rude that even after two staff members said they think they should be left as they are, you basically said "Well I'm gonna do it anyway" in this post. Not trying to start a fight or piss anyone off; I'm just giving MY observation over what was said here in the thread.
As far as taking critique, of course that's part of the deal when you're an artist with your creations out there. But by insisting on changing or recreating someone else's work is disrespectful, to me. But hey, I didn't create the crests, so it's no skin off my nose if you change it. I am just thinking of Katie and Lyri and how I'd feel if it was my work.
