Alot of people don't like this episode, but I loved it. I thought it was halarious, one of the funnier episodes. It has a good message behind it & it's a light hearted episode. I was laughing pretty much through the whole thing. When Buffy's outside Wood's office & then Spike jumps on her & then he's chasing her around out there, I lost it! And Willow was ready to turn him into a girl. The dialouge between her & Anya had me cracking up! : rotflmao

Yeah, this was a funny episode. I also liked it for its nostalgia-the high school setting, the cheerleading tryouts, the flashback to the Season 2 episode "Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered", one of my all-time favorites. So Cordelia did appear in Season 7 of Buffy after all! If only in a flashback scene (basement of Buffy's house).

Heh yea it is funny.. Guess a funny episode wasn't exactly what I wanted at this point in season 7 though. But there are some great Willow and Anya lines there, that's definitely worth something.

Last time I watched it though, we watched it with this guy whose brother had just committed suicide, jumping in front of a train.. I didn't think of that and everyone sort of freaked out during teh Dawn/train scene.. Not a great idea.. hm..

I really liked this episode too. Mainly because it was a lot like the first three seasons of Buffy, it being set in the High School and everything. When I first saw the season premier, that's how I figured all the episodes to be like. Well anyway, the episode was so funny. I loved the scene where the girls try to prove their love to AJ or DJ or whatever his name was. The flashback to BB&B was also cool.

I didn't hate this episode, but i didn't really like it. Yes it had somehumourous parts, but tome, this was first of all in the wrong place.
The Season is about THE Big Bad, and we have an episode about the girls chasing a guy because of his jacket.
Buffy having sex(?) with a student in a classroom, that in itself a reason not to watch it.
I understand that due to the nature of the season it was written to be a light before the Dark....but i don't need light, i just need a good story.
This was another exampleof the wasted potential of season 7.

I thought it was great. A funny episode in the middle of a depressing season. just what I needed in amongst all the drama 🙂

I loved this episode! It was so cool! It seemed like the guy with the jacket seemed to like...use the girls...like when Principle Wood was like : "Do your own homework, don't get the girls to do it."

They were like hypnotized by the jacket and they would do anything he said it seemed like, it was funny though.

How Buffy all of a sudden turned from fierce Buffy to "Oh, do you work out?" Buffy. It was hilarious.

Anyways...this episode was cute.

I liked it to. There are so many parts........

Buffy going to kill Principle Wood with the thing (forgot the name) that she killed The Judge with. Love the call back, and love how how Spike and Buffy were struggling for it.

Anya and Willow at the door, bantering back and forth. "You'd kill for a chocolate bar!"

I found this episode quite amusing! I bet there are loads of guys out there that wish they could put a jacket on to attract a girl!

Anyway my favourite parts of this episode where when Willow, Anya and Buffy were going to do something to impress him! So funny, Anya's attempt to rob the bank, Buffy going to kill Principle Wood, Willow attemting to turn him into a girl! I think that they could of come up with something else for Dawn to do though. This always disappointed me a bit!

Overall though a cool episode.

nah they needed Dawn to try to kill herself. Cos its the shock of it that brought Buffy round.

nah they needed Dawn to try to kill herself. Cos its the shock of it that brought Buffy round.

Yeah I know that but I sometimes hoped that they could have been a bit more creative about how she did it! You know perhaps she was going to put up a Banner confessing her undying love for him on the school roof, and then she almost falls and Buffy see's her as she is about to kill Principal Wood!

Something along those lines, I just thought a train was so tacky!

I gotta disagree, i think the idea that Dawn's 'realisation' that she was not able to compete with buffy was perfect, as lets face it, Dawnie has grown into a very beautiful, intelligent and strong individual, who, in most circles could give most women a run for their money.

And the idea of killing yourself as a comment on 'eternal love',which she thinks this is, was awesome.
And their again, it wasn't that Dawn nearly died that brought Buffy to her senses, it was the fact that Dawn was willing to....

Still don't like the episode though!!

Well....I loved this ep. Like how they were argueing over "Him".

ANya had the post sceme.

I liked the end when the radio said the bank was robbed!

lol 😀 😀 😀 😀

I really liked this episode. Obviously it wasn't one of the best, but it had me laughing. 🙂 You need a lighthearted episode sometimes.

Plus it had Sarah Michelle Gellar in a little tartan skirt. Cant dislike an episode like that 😀

Oh God. Some of this ep made me laugh out loud, but some of it just made me freakin cringe! Memories of cheerleading tryouts anyone? But yeah, the Spike stealing Buffy's missile launcer scene cracked me up!

Cheerleading tryouts - reminiscences going all the way back to Season 1 "Witch". Earlier than that actually, if you count the 1992 feature movie.

When I watch the episodes of Season 7 I'm very conscious of the deliberate nostalgia items from earlier seasons that are inserted into the stories. Besides the cheerleader tryouts and the flashbacks /mention of the events in "Bewitched, Bothered, and Bewildered", "Him" brought back the rocket launcher from Season 2 "Innocence". That scene with Buffy and Spike outside of Principal Wood's office is SO funny!

Really? There are people who dislike this episode? 😵

I personally think "Him" is hilarious. For some reason I'm always fond of episodes where everyone isn't like themselves. I absolutely love when Anya and Willow are argueing and Anya yells "His physical prescense has a penis!" It makes me laugh so hard every time.

And, Buffy should carry a bazooka around more often.
