The Bazooka thing had me in stitches, When she aims it at wood and then gets tackled by spike who then runs off with it like it's bag or something, I thought it was hilarious!

I think the end is really funny too... where the radio is turned on and they ask Anya what crazy thing she was going to do, and she turns the radio off.

Ah yes, lol.

When I used to hate season 7 (yeah how crazy wasn't I?) I used to really hate this episode. I just didn't think a "funny episode" fit into the whole mess of potentials, the First, Caleb, Spike with a soul, etc.
But "“ and I had to watch this episode about five times before realising this "“ now I completely love it. It's weird, and doesn't fit in really, but you really need this episode in season 7. And it is hilarious, mmhm.

Oh God. Some of this ep made me laugh out loud, but some of it just made me freakin cringe! Memories of cheerleading tryouts anyone? But yeah, the Spike stealing Buffy's missile launcer scene cracked me up!

he he yes it did.. you just see spike dive onto buffy and push her out of the way he he.. made me lol.. ha:silly:

Technicly, the "bazooka" you guys keep refering to is a rocket launcher. The difference is that a bazooka fires an unguided shell, whereas a rocket launcher launches a guided rocket (once the target is aquired by the operater, and the rocket launched, it will track the target even if it tries to run.) As to whether I believe the scene/episode was funny, both I and my wife consider that episode one of the funniest in the series.

Didn't you think it was obvious, though? I called it right away, as soon as it showed Buffy through the window I knew she'd get tackled.

Oh yeah I was totally expecting it, but I still found it funny. It was kinda slapstick comedy which BtVS didn't do that often, so it was sorta out of place which made it funnier!

Yeah, but you laugh at what I say. Pretty much means you'll laugh at anything!!
Yeah, it was pretty obvious something was going to happen. I started laughing as soon as Buffy appeared at the window, it was already funny enough... totally out of place. There's Buffy with a (not a bazooka, but a...) rocket launcher with Wood in his office playing soft music and grading papers (I think that's what he's doing...). But of course, Buffy writers hardly ever leave it like that... so of course you know as soon as you laugh, in about 10 seconds you're going to be laughing even harder.

I've never actually liked this episode. I'll stick with my earlier comments. It was out of place. The whole set of jokes were predictable.
Willow does Magic...she is a Lesbian - Magic Spell make him a her.
Anya likes Money....money she doesn't have - Steal money to impress him.
Buffy is a whore....she'll do anything - shag a teenager in school and become BAZOOKA joe(Bazooka is wrong but more time saving).
Dawn has nothing that she can use against the others....do the 'romantic' thing of dying for your lover.

It made sense and all, but it was far too cliche driven and not in the clever way of 'Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered'.

Note: Buffy isn't a whore as such...i just like the word Whore....and lets face it...who doesn't🙂

Hah. Whore. Yes, fun word.
Hubby and I have been going through the Seasons in order, not missing any f the episodes, no matter whether we hate them or not, and we watched Him last night. When it started I said to hubby "oh this is a shite episode" and then when Buffy said she was going to kill the Principal I suddenly remembered what she does... I thought the rocket launcher scene was completely hilarious the first time I saw it, and I thought it was completely hilarious the second time round last night!!!

The rest of the episode isn't up to much, but it is a comforting return to Season 1/2/3 Buffy - much needed when you know you are watching the very last season, and you are getting closer to the very last episode... ever...
