Hints and News From Scott Allie

Dark Horse editor Scott Allie offered a couple of tasty tidbits in the letters page of 8.15.

Giles will be coming back. Does that mean a return of Faith as well? Hope so.

They plan to bring in some of the characters that started in Buffy then went to Angel. Who would that be? Harmony maybe? Cordelia and Wesley are dead. However the Jeph Loeb thing is supposed to be some kind of strange, retro, back to school thing using the art style from the promo for the proposed Buffy animated.

There's already a Jo Chen cover. It's in the issue # 20 thread, but also relevant here, because it insinuates the two realities.

Can i ask what does a homage to 'Rockwell' mean?

Norman Rockwell was an American artist famous for his portrayal of what could be described as nostalgic looks at a simpler, more gentle time in America's past. One of my favorites of his paintings is of a little girl holding up her teddy bear to a kindly old gentleman, obviously a doctor, who is very seriously checking it' "heartbeat" with a stethoscope. His work was featured quite often on the covers of "The Saturday Evening Post."

Well, the characters that started on Buffy and then went on to Angel are Angel (obviously), Cordy, Wes, Spike and Harmony. I can't think of any others (I'm not counting Faith since she came back in s7). Cordy and Wes are dead, as mentioned above. So that leaves only Harmony, Spike and Angel, and since ''some characters'' implies more than one, is it wrong reasoning to believe that at least one of the boy vampires will be appearing in those future issues? About time.

You know now that I think about it, I bet that's what he's talking about. Either Spike, or Angel, or Spike and Angel, or some kind of tricky retro flashbacky kind of thing where they bring back Cordelia or Wesley, or some kind of combination of the four. Harmony would be the easiest though.

Oh, then there's Darla and Drusilla.

The coming Fray arc presents the possibility of time travel. There's also spirits, or alternate realities.

I would do the dance of joy if they somehow brought Cordy back and now with Renee biting the dust it would make room for a Cordy/Xander revival. That would make my year!

YES! Cordy back on Buffy would be heaven. HEAVEN I SAY! I really don't want her on the Angel comics cuz they aren't as intriguing to me. I doubt it will happen though. Hopefully, she'll be in that high school issue though.

Seriously though, how fricken amazing would it be to have the original scoobs back? Throw Oz into the mix and, we my friends, have a hootenany😀

What would really be cool would be if when Oz came back, he and Willow reconciled, and Kennedy got stuck with Rona doing a vampire watch together in Siberia.
