I'd hate to think you were being serious... I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume that was a joke.

There's some good hip hop which obviously wasn't mentioned in this thread nor will ever be.

And love the sarcasm, by the way.

The hip-hop I like best is the stuff that was made in the 90's...Biggie is my all time fave. The stuff out now, just can't compare to what we had "back in the day".

Word to your Mother 😀 (that was a joke, I swear!)

Ok, guys, brace yourself. I agree with Faldor! Ok, maybe not his choice in what he listens too, but there's a serious lack of talent in the hip hop RnB genre. It's all a bunch of "oh baby" "oh yeah" "i'm a pimp" crap. There's a few exceptions, people with actually talent. But the horrible singers are over played so much on the radio that it turns me off totally.

Yes, exactly what I was going to say.

So true. It used to mean something, and now it's just crap. I blame Snoop Dogg lol

Who you into?
There are some good hip hop acts around... Cannibal Ox, Jedi Mind Tricks, Madvillain etc.

Some of the mainstream stuff is OK, but not a lot.

I'm not that big on hip hop and r'n'b.. well i'm not a fan of that many international artists , but i do like some norwegian artist.. like SAMSAYAher website , or Gatas parlament(the street parlamentm, they are very political.) of interantional rap.. i think there is a bit too much talk of getting tipsy, and shake that butt and so on.. it's just alittle old(i am a lyrics junky... the musics gotta be great! but so does the lyrics. bad bad lyrics, after my own meter, can make a song VERY bad! sorry if i offend someone! but that's just my opinion.. don't mean tp step on anyones toes! 🙂 ) but i Do like Kanye West!! :hihi: i like his stuff... his lyrics are great, the beat is great! so thank you XxSlayerxX for mentioning him🙂)) cause i would have totaly forgot :bounce: . oh, and i like that new jay-z single: 99 problems... i'm very eclektic(sp?) i like alot of different stuff... but i'm not that big on dance, thecno, trance and so on.. or r'n'b...

PS: i LOVE beastie boys... i'm so glad thay've made a new cd... i love some of the songs there...

BTW: very fun thread! :bounce:

I like Eminem & Ludacris too...I saw them live at the Anger Management tour. I got free 15th row tickets through my job, and I thought they both put on a pretty good show. You know a rapper is good when they can perform live and you can still recognize the song...I've heard many who can't unfortunately.

My fav's are Kayne West and Jay-Z... I used to love R&B and HipHop... now i kinda dont... well except for Kayne West and Jay-z.. there the only two that deserve to be mentioned..

There is a great band called Loop Troop. Some of the best hip hop I've heared. Songs like "The Struggle Continues", "Looking For Love", "Long Arm of the Law".. Seriously great, you really should try to hear some of their music.
