My Christmas tradition is to watch all of the Lord of the Rings movies and doing a drinking game whenever Legolas shows up. I am not even that big of a fan of the franchise, but I have been doing it for years.
For actual recommendations...I always watch the Sound of Music with my parents on New Year's Day, but a lot of people watch it during Christmas in the Netherlands.

My favorite Christmas movies are the original Miracle on 34th Street (from 1947... the non-colorized version) and Scrooge, the musical version of A Christmas Carol starring Albert Finney.
I watch all the Rankin-Bass specials: Rudolph, Frosty, Santa Claus Is Comin' To Town, The Year Without a Santa Claus. A Charlie Brown Christmas and the animated How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Other versions of A Christmas Carol I like are the Alistair Sim one, the George C. Scott one and... the Mr. Magoo one.
I like Elf, and Frozen (even though it's not actually a Christmas movie... it's a snow movie).
White Christmas is a good movie, but avoid the original, Holiday Inn... lots of really cringeworthy racism in it.
It's a Wonderful Life is OK, I'll watch it if it's on.
Some that I don't much care for are Polar Express, the Jim Carrey Grinch, Jim Carrey Scrooge (notice a pattern?) and A Christmas Story. (If I want a whole story narrated at me, I'll buy an audio book.)
Those movies remind me of Christmas, because they came out in theaters just before Christmas and my whole family used to go out to watch them a couple days after the holiday.
