Christmas itself is home time. 27th family descend on us... no idea about NYE yet. 🎉🥂

my question should have been, Ways for you to impress the family at the Christmas get together, (note the word YOU),
however as you asked the question,
given that the Christmas tree don't get burnt during the night before Christmas (God (?) forbid),
and you don't live in a country where 70 or there-about's million people vote for a witch,
I'd say The nightmare before Christmas (not that I've seen it) sounds like a Halloween film to be
shown late on Christmas night.

I really fancied watching the Hawkeye series again this year . It's so Christmasy ! 😛 Not out on DVD yet though , so it's a month of Disney+ or do without . Maybe if I'm feeling decadent Christmas week 🙂 . Even without , my cupboards are bulging with shows to watch .

I'm a lil bit excited too , mostly for the food 😛.

Heard my first xmas song on the radio today - Stop The Cavalry (even though it was originally never intended to be a xmas song).

Going to the xmas markets tomorrow to buy overpriced beer and sausages (£7 for a Hot Dog 😳 )
 
I don't have anything planned for Christmas because I don't celebrate it. I may go to the work holiday party however.

I do however LOVE New Years and will be celebrating because there is a lot of to look forward to this coming year.
 
I got most gifts bought. My bestie is (per usual) the hardest & least finished amongst those few remaining 😳
 
It's the first Sunday of Advent today! So the Christmas jumpers are out.

It's also the towns Christmas Fayre and light switch on, with the guy that no one in town actually cares about Richard Hammond!

I wish the peeps in my house would celebrate Halloween with me. I feel like I am solo rolling with the candy and the costumes and the house decor. I always have a line of horror flicks I plan on watching and a big bowl ready for popcorn but everyone here has other plans. I’m with you. Halloween is the best.
That being said we have a small Christmas gathering planned between 3 of us. Small gift exchange with a spending limit. Nog, fake fireplace, board games, maybe a little twister or charades, good food, good liquor. Anyone else want to see the new movie Spirited with Ryan Reynolds and Will Ferrel?

@TamsinValencia no, I don't give out many cards now, got a couple I do the letter in a card to, but mostly it's family and a handful of friends. A box of 12 is what I hope to stick to!

It's going to be a low key Christmas for the wife and I since we're both recovering from major surgeries, with my back and her with her left shoulder. Yeah, we're a pair alright. We've given up on the card thing many years ago, and don't get a lot of them anymore. I remember how my mother used to make a big ordeal over who she should a card to and whether they sent one to us the year before. I know she must have sent out at least 50+ cards each year. That's a lot of postage too.
Anyone I would send a card to I'm in close contact with anyway so it's no big deal.
 
Had Christmas part 1 yesterday, a friend is due to have surgery soon, so we gave presents and played games yesterday before she goes into semi isolation. Lots of flu etc around at the moment and it's a long awaited for op.
So cards were written, and given, as well as presents.
I need to get to the post office tomorrow and post cards as well, stupid post strikes, so need to get everything posted early.
