When you say why he would spend his time and money, do you mean the Holorama video?
If so, as far as I'm concerned as all that is on the video has been done in films before. I'm guessing it is an advertisement of those peoples capabilities to producers and editors in the film industry.

I'm sorry to get this started again, and I hope I'm not bothering you, but I kind of have the feeling that you misunderstood what they were doing in the video. But maybe I'm wrong.
