Holy hell, Season 8 #6 sold out at TFAW already!!!

Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Season Eight #6 at TFAW.com

That's really crazy. Season 8 #3 (2nd printing) has also been sold out.
After the really annoying different covers crap I decided that from now on I would only buy the TPBs. I have issues 1-5, but I'm still going to get the "The Long Way Home" TPB.
By the way, the TPB release date was supposed to be Nov. 15 but now TFAW's release date is Oct 10. Has this been confirmed?
 
Wow. It's the unstoppable Whedon/Vaughan juggernaut. And I agree, more than two covers per issue is getting ridiculous.

By the way, have you signed up (you have to susbcribe 2 newsletters) for the TFAW Ultimate Buffy contest? I know there's no chance in hell I'll win, but it wasn't hard to enter so... I'd be wonderful to win all this stuff 🙂.
 
This is why I'm waiting for the bundles of issues when they come out - the first one is in October or November. Much easier; sure, you may not get the issues right away and they won't be original or second or third or whatever printings, but at least you get them all.

I agree, besides, the TPBs are supposed to cotnain all the covers anyway.
Yeah it sold out fast, Buffy #5 and #4 are still there with first printings.
I'm getting the TPB's but I can't wait for them to be released, I need the individuals to.
 
Yeah I went to get my copy of issue #6 and it was sold out already. The comic book guy said "Yeah issue #6 sold out very quickly"
 
I got two regular covers and one variant. Guess I am happy I did so. I knew that it would sell out, the whole Faith arc is a big deal so that's why for the first time I ordered two regular covers. I usually just get one of each.
 
yeah same, tabula rasa. i got 2 copies of the jo chen cover as well. i'm gonna get 2 of all the faith arc of course
 
There are three covers for Faith's Arc too? Damn, tell me I am wrong cause that sucks if so. And if so, how the heckola did I not know this.

I think the Reg and Var covers for this issue are brilliant but I still love the Regular cover for issue 5. My favorite. And the face on that cover looks most like Buffy out of all of them.
 
I thought there were going to be 4 Faith centric issues. Think the 4th is the nude cover perhaps?
I love the #5 Chen cover as well, think I love #3 and #6 just as much though.
 
yeah i think there are 4 covers for the faith arc, assuming that the nude flamy photo is from #9. then there's the TPB cover. HAHA i'm gonna be buying so many copies of this arc it's insane.
 
I knew there were 4 covers for the arc all together, and then of course their variants, what I thought was being said was that there were 3 covers for issue #6. I must have gotten my signals crossed. I got mine yesterday, 2 regs and 1 variant and I really love them. I almost wish I would have ordered 2 variants instead of one cause I love the cover so much, but then that would be just plane stupidity on my part so I didn't. I don't actually need 2 sealed variants, one's enough. I do have an extra variant for issue #4 tho. Before I left Tfaw they sent it to me instead of a regular, and I had already ordered the variant from somewhere else, bummer huh! I don't have the heart to put it on ebay for some odd reason and I wont get much for it anyways. Ok, WOW I rambled really badly. Sorry bout that.

At my local comic store I went to buy it and right when I got there it was sold out and the people were buying it, so no more copies. I was all "So, what's your favorite season of Buffy and the three of them said they haven't watched it and they were just reading it because they thought it looked cool. I was pissed. Leave some for the fans. 🙁

I hate that I have to order these comcis from TFAW (they have international shipping).
Firstly, you're never sure which cover you're going to get. With Buffy you have a 1 in a 4 chance to recive the variant. So if you want both the regular cover & the variant you have to order 4 copies to make sure. Tha means that I would always have 2 egulars left over.
Secondly, the shipping fee is $8.21 That really sucks. So I would have to pay $19 per issue (4 copies). From now on I will only be purchasing the TPBs.
 
You're in Estonia Karl? Are there any shops in Europe that could ship to you cheaper? TFAW's shipping from...Oregon or something. The place I was using in the States only required you order 2 copies to guarantee a Chen cover.
 
Tfaw also requires you to order 2 copies to ensure a Chen cover (4 if you also want the variant). Guess I'll try to check for a good comic store in Europe that ships to Estonia. Hopefully I'll find one..

Well, thanks for your help TabulaRasa, but I really think that from now on I'll be getting only the TPBs.
In the end, it' also a lot cheaper to buy the TPBs, but I may use the site for purchasing some other comics in the future. Thank you 🙂
