hey. i'm kristin. i'm a newbie to this board but you guys seem nicer than other boards ive been on 🙂
i'm also new to the buffy scene. i've watched seasons 1-7 over the last two months. i beat the buffy: chaos bleeds games and unlocked everything. i'm currently awaiting season 8 comics volumes 1-5 in the mail. my best friend introduced me to the buffyverse. although i was very reluctant i fell in love. i bet you could tell from my photo thingamabob that willow and tara are my favorite couple which is true. i cant get enough of amber benson. i've bought the three willow and tara comics she wrote and seen her movie chance. i cant seem to get my hands on lovers, liars and lunatics. i've recently began watching alyson hannigan's How i met your mother seasons 1-2 1/2 i'm working my way through it with all the extra time i have now in college. i'm 18 and graduate '10 from high school.
i'm in my second semester of college and its soo BORING! i should've moved. i plan to transfer in about a year or so. i'm studying to be a forensic scientist. specifically a blood spatter analysis but it is subject to change at any time. yes like in dexter. i don't watch the show so i don't know more than thats what he does.
i'm an insomniac its 5:10 a.m. and i have class at 9 a.m. i love watching movies and television cause my life bores me. i skateboard, make films(that suck), and i'm a photographer(not horrible at this or so i've been told). i don't read mostly because i don't know how to find books that i'm interested in. i've dabbled in most art forms but i find my nitch to be photography.
i think ive unloaded enough info on you so ill stop here. talk to me and you'll learn much much more 🙂

Welcome to the boards, Kristin. 🙂 I agree that the people on this boards are nicer than some boards I was on. ^_^ And as a member who's been here longer, I suggest you to use *shift* button when you type things. It's easier to read that way. Lol, sorry if I sound like I order you.

I'm Min, by the way. And forensic scientist is interesting. Do you play Still Life 2? I highly recommend you because you have to use loads of CSIA Kit to do the investigation in the game. I'm playing it RIGHT NOW, actually. Nice to meet you. 🙂

Nice to meet you too! Lol. Sorry my typing isn't at its best this late at night. I've also gotten a bit to used to the auto-caps on my phone.

I actually have never heard of it. I watched my fair share of CSI shows but its not very realistic when it comes to the technology used these days. Is it a computer or consul game?

No worries. It's just we all always use the shift button here so we get used to it. 🙂

Welcome Kristin! You've gotten into Buffy fast! Hope you enjoy season 8. Now you need to watch the 5 seasons of Angel. Then you can expand to other Whedon works (Firefly, Dollhouse, Dr Horrible)! I'm looking forward to hearing your take on things. 🙂

We don't want to scare anyone away. Misunderstandings are easy to have and it gets even easier when you don't know each other well. Be active so we get to know you and you us. Sounds good?

You sound really Interesting and a lot like me. I too watch television because my life bores me! lol In fact, I love television so much that I'd like to work in the industry someday. I'm applying to film school for Writing and Producing for Television, and I'm working on my original pilot right now. 🙂 I'm a pretty hardcore fan; I collect memorbilia from the show, and run a local meet-up group for fans. I have a lot to say, and sometimes I rant, lol but I love Buffy more than anything. She's my girl, and Spike's my man, and together they're perfect.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask! I look forward to reading your thoughts on the show.

YAY!!!! Another Amber Benson fan! I too, cannot get enough of her. Her movie Chance was so adorable, even though I'm not too fond of the camera work. Another one you should watch is Race You to the Bottom. If you get a chance, read her Calliope-Reaper Jones novels, and her new book "Among the Ghosts" is really good as well. Also watch the Ghosts of Albion on BBC and read the book adaptations of the show that she wrote along with Christopher Golden(who if i'm not mistaken, also helped her out with the Willow and Tara comics).

...and there I go rambling on about Amber that I forgot to say...

Firstly that post made me smile and i'm disappointed i can't attend your Buffy meet up sessions Joan, they sound awesome.

Welcome to BB Kristin, always great to welcome new people. The Buffyverse is still such a strong and proud community and this board typifies that in abundance. I joined in March and i've made so many new friends who i speak to on here, Facebook, Twitter, Skype etc. Buffy brings everyone together and i hope you get the same enjoyment i get in talking to fellow fans and sharing the love for the show we all have. 🙂
