I dig him.

He's a great actor, and been in some amazing films..as for the HOT, I didn't really start to think he was nice looking until I seen American Psycho.. I don't know what the says about me though..

Interestingly it was American Psycho that did it for me.

Oh my god this man knows how to rant over something that wasn't all that big in the first place. Yeah the guy walked through the set during the scene but it was an accident. That doesn't give Christian Bale the right to call him every name under the sun, even after the guy attempted to apologise for his mistake.

Good thing he has handlers to hold him back or the DP would kick his butt or at the very least his professional life would be over....and we would be denied another artsy head case that works there craft so well.

For real, Could you imagine having to put up with such a prissy primming whiner? No wonder movies are so expensive, they have to pay for all the thearapy for the crew afterward because of losers like him.

He needs a trip to the woodshed and if i was granted a priviledge it would be him and a man with a paddle named Ed...or Al 🙂

I agree. He is one of my favorite actors too. This whole freak-out of his doesn't really change how I feel about him. He's a good actor. So, he's kinda crazy and an a-hole. Quite a few actors are.

To be honest, he does clearly say "this is the second time that he's done something like this without thinking about what's going on in front of the camera", which makes me think that the guy Bale went apeshit at has done something like this before to provoke him. Maybe he went a little over the top, but the guy's trying to do a job and it's very difficult to get into a certain mindset for a scene and then just flick it on and off at will because someone who should know better ruins your take.

i actually agree (well not so much with the effin hotness but i can see that too). I want to think of a bale as a badass who doesnt belong in society... hello! Batman, people! ##Bale needs to be the 'Dark Knight', if anything the clip showed that he stands up for what he believes and doesnt let things slide... yea thats terrible for some shmuck who gets caught in the middle but batma...Bale has more important things to care about. Like, saving the worl... wait, finishing his movie!!

What the DP did was wrong, but it doesn't mean a person gets to b*tch him out for 3 minutes straight. The director should have had a handle on the situation, and he didn't.

As someone who has spent a fair bit of time with actors, honestly I have no issue with this.

Lets assume that Christian is doing an intensely emotional scene and forget that this guy interrupted him, he's already manipulated his own emotions to be at a certain point and this DP probably messed up at the wrong time.

I would imagine that when Christian calmed down he found the guy and sorted it out.

And i have been on a fair amount of sets as a PA, and no things like this aren't uncommon, but ive seen directors handle it far better than letting the actor get away with it.

It's just really hard for me to think badly of him, at all, even after his whole outburst. Quite a few of my all-time favorite films contain him...Velvet Goldmine, American Psycho...and he is BY FAR the best Batman, ever.

I admit, he took it way to far...but there are always two sides to the same story. He's a serious actor. He doesn't want people messing up his scenes. He could have took it down a notch, tho. If he had an issue with the lighting guy... he should have took it up with the director - not just layed it on the guy in front of everyone. Anyway.

So, he was acting like an asshole. It happens.

And also, completely putting aside the fact that this guy has always rubbed me the wrong way, eventhough I completely do not like him or his acting, I'd still be able to appreciate or at the very least aknowledge his hotness if he was but I just don't see it, not even if I squint... for me he doesn't have an ounce of physical appeal. And i have a huge hard on for english accents and not even that can redeem him in my eyes... Yuck, just yuck. Sorry, hate rant over :biggrin:

Christian Bale was pretty freaky looking in The Machinist.. I don't think, even now, he looks the same as he did before that film. I heard that he found it hard to put weight back on, he liked the routine and not eating, it really affected him. Weird eh.
