Yay! I'm off to the hospital...again...for like the 3rd time this year. LoL. I sliced open my foot and there's just blood everywhere. I need stitches! That's going to be fun! Not... Anyway, in light of my nightly adventure I'm gunna start a thread. Have you ever been to the hospital before and why?

-Now! Ow! It hurts!
-Pnemonia (a few check ups)
-Tetnis shot
-Appendicitis
-Broken arm
-Probably others that I can't remember right now

Oo! Sorry about your foot!

Uh, I've been in hospital for:

-tonsilitus
-Ashtma [4 times]
-Oh, and being born 😉

Sorry about your foot, hope it heals well. I own stock at the hospital now with all the times we have been there for one reason or another...lol. Just went there Wednesday for our middle son, he broke his foot and pulled ligaments. If its not one thing then its another, but thats just part of being a parent. As for me.... Birth of my sons, tonsils, broken arm (crazy story from teenage concert yrs), broken foot, broken ribs (car accident) and some stitches. Hmmm , seeing a pattern here, maybe son gets clumsiness from me. (Going now to apologize for his inherited traits and let him know that I love him...lol.. maybe he will grow out of it.)

Sorry about your foot babe! Hope it heals soon!

As for your other question, I was in the hospital for a while because at the age of 15, I had spinal surgery. I had a condition called scoliosis which is a curvature of the spine. Mine was 42 degrees. They said if I didn't get operated on my spine would crush my own lungs. So I got two rods put in my back to keep my spine straight-gotta tell ya', having metal in your back is NOT alot of fun! 😉

lol@ SLayersDestiny...

I haven't gone when I should twice. Once, I should have gotten stitches after an attempted pirouette that went badly wrong. Ballet- Don't try it at home. I often wish I had a more normal story to tell about that scar though (It's about an inch long over my left eye.) The other time is even stupider. I was nervous before an exam (Honours Irish, as it happens) so I was juggling empty bottles. I dropped one, and you know the way you reflexively make a big crazy grab for stuff when you drop it? Well, I missed and punched a desk. I broke the middle finger on my left hand. But I still had an exam to do, big swollen crooked finger and all. I never got it set though, so it's still a little wonky. I got a C+, for the record.

Hm.. I should've gotten stitches too.. cause last friday, I was on my bike, on my way to a bar.. Fell and hit the ground and my teeth went through my chin, so there 's a hole and there was blood anywhere and my friends just laughed at me (well I did too).. This is embarassing cause my friends have told everyone about this, our teachers too.. One teacher went "were you drunk Johanna?!".. Aww, hate this. And I told my friends I was going to fall .. they say "No you're not!", but I did.. And soon I'll have a scar..
Anyway I've been in the hospital many times when I was little.. I was sick a lot and sometimes I couldn't walk (don't know why, I was weird.. heh)

Thanks sweetheart! :D
I've been in and out of hospitals like all the time. Especially when I was a kid. I've been near death several times. Once almost choked on a piece of apple and once I was ill somehow and the doctor said to my parents "bring her back tomorrow, if she's alive" but hey, I'm alive and kicking. In my teens I've almost broken my vrists and feet like a thousand times.
Heck, I think I've spent more time in hospitals than at home 😉

I think the scariest times I have ever been at the hospital was when my 2 youngest boys were involved in a head on car crash while they were with the babysitter (the car was hit head on at 50mph, they had minor injuries... thank God). The other was when our middle son was 2 and he drank antifreeze, the doctor said he drank a lethal amount but because we reacted so fast they were able to save him.. personally I think it was a miracle.

Just realized I've been to the hospital a lot the last year.. Cause when I got back from Russia a year ago I was really sick and the doctors thought it was TBC so I had to do a lot of tests and stuff.. Anyway it wasn't TBC but they never found out what it was.. So I got better really slowly and my parents where worried and made me visit the hospital at least four times those six months.. And then I had to do this vaccination too.. And I was sick once again.. I hate hospitals, a lot.. Scared of doing tests and all that.. People putting needles in you without really explaining why..

Jeez! You're talking about ME being strong! That is so terrifying! I'm so glad your kids were okay after things like that!

Wow. That must have been really scary SlayersDestiny.

When I was 5 I got my thumb caught in the door, and I had to wait 10 minutes before the doctors could do anything about it. I was really scared, and I had to wait! And that is why I am scared of doors and hate doctors.

When I was 9, I stepped on a needle and my foot got infected. I couldn't walk for 2 weeks. And they didn't give me anything to help me get around, so I sat on the couch all day.

I also needed to go to the hospital because I had a fever of 102.4. They didn't give me anything to help me, just crappy medicine that didn't work.

I been to the hospital alot, but that was cuz I hate my real doctor. I like to hate doctors, cuz they never really helped(see above).

I think the world has somthin against us.
