House Descriptions?

I doubt it...The idea is that, once you're sorted, three out of the four houses are kept a mystery to you.
Rough idea:
Raiden: Greatest house you could possibly wish for...Only downside is that epo' is there lol.
Merrick: Someone wanted to leave that house not so long ago...You make your own assumptions.
Drogyn: I heard they just sit around in silence drinking virtual tea - not that fun. You may get a crumpet if Mr. Pointy hasn't taken them all...
Vahla Ha'Nesh: Vahla who? No comparison to Raiden.

We may be quiet, but unlike Raiden, we don't allow any old 'riff-raff' in
the idea is, you cannot choose which house you get sorted into, the Sorting Tomb does that for you.
it's a one in four chance that you would get sorted into the greatest and most active house on the boards...we have the greatest members in Merrick!

These are the only available descriptions concerning the four Houses:
Raiden - The House of cunning and drive. Its emblematic animal is the ram and its color is red. "Bring Forth The Best."
Drogyn - The House of loyalty, patience, and determination. Its emblematic animal is the bull and its color is blue. "Nec Temere Nec Timide" / "Neither rashly nor timidly."
Merrick - The House of intelligence and learning. Its emblematic animal is the eagle and its color is black. "Thy Words Give Life."
Vahla Ha'nesh - The House of courage and duty. Its emblematic animal is the lion and its color is green. "Antiquus Restituatur Honor" / "Ancient Honor Restored."

I just want to comment on these house descriptions. They are complete crap. You can't assume just because ONE (that is UNO if you dont speak english) person decided to leave Merrick without an actual reason, that we are a bad house. We aren't and we know that. And yes it's typical that a Merrick person would say that but who else is going to say it? We're the ones being judged on account of that one person. Not you. the description of the other houses aren't accurate either. It's not very wise to be so misleading to newbies if they are asking for an intelligent answer which this clearly wasn't. I'm sorry if this came out as harsh but it really borthered me that you would post such a stupid description to our house when you clearly don't know what we're about. SpikeWillowLover if you want an accurate description, refer to Old Master III's post.

As for the little quip about VH, just because we don't go around saying how wonderful we are doesn't mean that we are not as good a house! We are the smallest house on Buffy Boards hence why we seem so few! Saying that we are actually very active! Some of my best friends from Buffy Boards are in that house, and I'm very grateful for them!
Making judgements on a house that you know nothing about it pathetic!

+ Matt +'s initial post was clearly meant in fun. Although I do see why House Merrick members would take offense to the Merrick comment...again...he meant no harm here. That whole nonsense with that particular member wanting to leave that House was exactly that....nonsense. An isolated event depicting the actions of a disenchanted SINGLE member. Everyone here knows it is NOT a reflection on the House of Merrick itself, therefore there is no need to get all bent out of shape here.
From time to time, different Houses poke fun at each other, but the true fact of the matter here is that there is never any malice intended. All the Houses respect each other. Merrick is as formidable as any...and no one seriously questions that fact.
+ Matt +'s a good guy...and I don't say this because he is of the same House as I, but because it is so. His intentions were, as already stated, not meant to be hurtful.
Not let's all play nice here, shall we?
