Netflix announced that House of Cards may continue (without Kevin Spacey of course). That really comes as a shock to me as I thought he was so integral to the show. It would be nice if it did return simply for the fact that a lot of people losing their jobs over the actions of a pederast seems unfair. I can't believe I am actually going to praise Netflix but good for them if they do it.

Well agree. But I tend to think Netflix handle things like this well anyway. There was only one more season anyway, so I say they just write Spacey out. I know there has been talks of spin-offs. I would be up for a spin-off with the Robin Wright character.

I'm guessing they made the decision to continue based on public opinion. I always rated Wright's character over Spacey's anyway. It'll be interesting to see what they come up with when starting the new season.

Would they not have to set up the season with him already gone? Claire killing Frank would be good. A powerful woman murdering an elitist, abusive male? It would seem to tick the box in this current climate.

I thought they had already been filming some of the season (it was to be their last anyway) and they stopped production. Not sure now what's going to happen.

It would be interesting to see Claire be president but not sure if they'd be willing to restart the show.

Yeah that would be odd, beginning with what they'd already filmed. I'm guessing it might put some people off watching if Spacey's face was still plastered all over it.

Probably. But it would be so awesome if they had him back for an episode or two and showed her shooting him or something. Not a gory scene or anything; but her being a cold blooded bad ass and telling him their partnership is over. Would be more interesting than him just disappearing.

Well, say what you will for ole Spacey but one thing is for sure, I am now interested in House of Cards again and I think I haven't watched it since maybe the second or third season. But actually curious now. Well done!

Or she could shove him in front of a train. That would be more poetic.

@Mr. Pole Same. I watched the first two seasons and enjoyed them but never got through the third. Now I’m thinking about catching up.

And yes, push him in front of a train. And have Claire standing there with a smirk. It’s sad to say, but this could help the show.
