Sorry, I am watching episode 2 of season 3 after Buffy has come home from running away. Buffy and her mom are fighting and everyone starts getting on her for running away and she's like "great, anyone else wanna weigh in? How about you by the dip??" It was just hilarious, he's like "no thanks..." Just so happens it was actually Jonathan by the dip, which I don't think I noticed before...

Sorry, I just thought it was hilarious and wanted to post it 🙂

Poor Jonathon, I really did like that guy in the Sunnydale days.

He just perfectly plays that geeky guy that is just always picked on even when the person doing it doesn't intend to pick on him specifically.

It kind of surprised me actually that he was invited and there to begin with though. I wonder who invited him? He doesn't seem like the type to just show up uninvited.

I always liked Jonathan, too, and I've always thought that he would have been a better "guest-age" in Season 7 than Andrew. (I know, I know, now all of Andrew's fans are gonna jump on me...) He, at least, had a history with the Scoobies throughout their high school days, and they were always pretty friendly with him.

I love how they used Jonathan in the early seasons. It was like he was a stand-in for the audience in his clueless/awkwardness, and I always thought it was really smart to have a recurring role like that. Plus it's fun to play 'Spot the Jonathan' when you're watching with other people, lol. 😀

Yeah, he totally did! I love it when a sidelines characters can evolve into the star of the show! Jonathan kind of annoyed the hell out of me sometimes and other times I freakin loved him! He's like an annoyingly cute, raging, anassuming bunny dork!:wub:

And that moment is great. Its times like that when I love Buffy.

Hahaha, Jonathan... I've currently been watching BtVS with two new fans(yay!) and whenever we'd see Jonathan in an episode, I'd be like 'Guys, this dude is totally important later on.' (yes I'm a total spoilers machine) and they would respond with a 'Huh? He's 5 feet tall!'. 😛

But yea, I love how he randomly appears in a few scenes in the first few seasons. I'd be curious to know if Joss planned from the start to use him as a *villain* later on.
