Let's recap:

Nov. 2001; how big of an event was "Once More, With Feeling" on UPN and Sky TV when they aired?

Does anybody remember?
 
I remember they was so many adverts and promos for it on sky one and I remember Inforst saw it I was like Wow this is so weird but awesome! After that episode aired I remember seeing everyone go crazy about it on the Internet and in comic shops.

Not sure what you mean?
I don't really remember if they promoted it much when it aired in Germany, but what I DO remember is that for months after this, they'd play Walk Through the Fire on music channels. Especially in those Get The Clip shows, where people vote for what they wanna see next, it was basically on every hour back in the days.

It was a pretty big deal as I remember. At least it was big enough for a friend of mine who was going to be out of town that night to ask me to tape it for him.

And that was the hook that reeled the White Avenger into Buffy fandom and onto the good ship "Spuffy," may her banners forever fly proudly on high, may her course be forever true and free of storms, and may her torpedoes fly true and deadly whenever the rusty scow "Bangel" sails within range.

(Just kidding, Bangels. You know I love each and every one of your sweet little hearts. That's why I started Adopt-A-Bangel)
 
It was a really big deal. Back then, not a lot of shows had successfully done a musical episode, especially not shows like BtVS. There were so many ads all over the place, and once OMWF aired, there was so much critical acclaim, and for good reason. I was proud to be a Buffy fan. 😀
 
Not what you asked but I'll tell you that I didn't notice one thing when it aired over here. I'm glad to see that it was in other places. As it should.
