How Buffy-natic are you?

This is pretty easy: How much of a BtVS / AtS fan are you in your everyday life?

For instance.. I would say I randomly uses Faith's sentence when I talk

my friend: How are ya?
me: Like I did mushrooms and got eaten by a bear
my friend: WHAT? : yikes :

Other and better exemple coming... epo has a good one. (hehehe *wink wink*) .. and I know 2 of our mods have an EXCELLENT drunken game to talk about (you know who you are) 😀
 
Lol, I feel like my whole life has got to do with BtVS. Especially recently 'cause of all the BB people I've met 😀

Anyway, the other day (yesterday actually, when I think about it, feels like weeks ago) I was at Frenchy Faith's and we had some hungover time to kill while waiting for going to the bus. So Faith found this upwords game thing and came up with the excellent idea to play a BtVS game. So much fun to try and find ways to relate all kinds of words to BtVS, heh: Pic
And don't complain about the words, they are real words and they are Buffy-related, mhm 😉
(I think I took the pic before things became too complicated though, uh..)

You must not tell anyone in the real world of this. Faith and I would be shot for having no life! :beatup:

Anyway, this game of which she speaks is pretty straight forward... in fact, we found it on the net. (unfortunately I can't find the one we played! 🙁)

WARNING: Do not take shots of straight Jack Daniels whilst playing this game!

It could be worse we could have both been on our own and playing it.

Of course we at Buffy Boards are not encouraging you to get drunk. However if you enjoy a drink and are with a group of Buffy mad friends then simply pop in a DVD and join along.

There are many different games on the net for example each time Giles wipes his glasses or make reference to his books you take a sip/chug/shot. Its more fun if you improvise and add in your own stuff, which is what we did.

I do have to echo Elmo's warning about taking shots of straight Jack Daniels, this is not advisable....we had the headaches the next morning to back this fact up.

Ooooh I looove Buffy drinking games! I of course have never partaken in any myself 😉 but I HEAR they are quite the good time! 😀
 
That sounds fun! I have read about those games before. Never tried them...sometime when I don't have anywhere to go the next day, I should do it.
 
One day I was talking to my friend and she was so excited. I told her to tell it doesn't have to be details she a blurry water color. (a la Willow!) She didn't get it. I had to explain it to her. Then she still didn't get it.

I'm always saying "I'm giddy and up"
 
More exemple people?

Last year, I told a friend of mine I was a huge BtVS fan and we were playing with sticks and had to cut them to build some stuff.... and I was kidding saying that it would be cool to make a stake out of it... well guess what? He made one! And he put the name Faith on it... hehe.. have a look:

but I'm a huge buffy fan...always saying "what's the sitch" (a la Buffy) and "be back before dawn' to my roomies...lol
 
Vennessa at my work calls me Buffy cause she knows it 's my favorite show-- she would have never known if my cell phone had'nt had a : pbounce: buffy screensaver a ringtone and my spikekeychain too!
 
Well, I don't have anyone calling me BTVS character names, but when I was in high school, I was known as the resident vampire expert and my band teacher would borrow my tape that I taped new episodes on, so she and her husband could walk.

But, at one time, one of my friends and I were doing a count to find out how many times Giles had gotten knocked out. We're still not completely sure of the exact count though! 😀

(Just wondering, but since this isn't and off-topic thread, wouldn't this thread be better for the inside-out forum?)
 
wow I'm a huge fan also..i quote buffy everyday..I hum the musical when I wake up..I talk about it probably atleast a good 20 times a day...every board im at I have a buffy quote..and AV..I think about buffy when I wake up..and when I go to bed..god buffy is a drug.
 
I've just found this... this is a bunch of statements... the more you can relate to them, the more Buffy-natic you are... hehe....

You know you're addicted to Buffy when...

For me.. among others apply :

You find yourself quoting the show several times a day

You have either a cross necklace or a Claddaugh ring

You prefer to watch Buffy alone because other people just "don't get it"

You think "Too much Buffy? Never!"

You demand that people call you Buffy (applies with Faith instead)

When watching a new Buffy episode, people gawk at you when you manage to say the actor's lines right before they do.

Whenever you quote Buffy Verse, you laugh hysterically while your friends stare at you like you've grown another ear.

You take up tae kwon do, kick boxing, karate, street fighting and gymnastics. (Only did take Juijitsu but it was still to fight like B and Faith so...)

You write Buffy FanFic.

Your motto is 'Life is short' or 'Seize the day'.

You actually get these jokes and pass them on to other friends who are addicted to Buffy.

etc etc... I'm not gonna show how serious my case is... what about you guys?
 
Subconciously... Im always quoting Buffy.. luckily for me, a lot of my friends dont listen to me so I get to ramble about Buffy all day in my own universe...

I think when Buffy was on I was a lot worse with the Buffy quoting than I am now... its cause I went into Buffy rehab the summer after the show ended and banned myself from watching the show for 6 months... so I wouldnt cry mostly.

Haha. Yess. That happens to me way too much unfortunately. I'm always like, "Hey, so-and-so, there was this one time on 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer'/'Angel' when blah blah blah." Or at other times, when I'm in a certain situation, it reminds me of a certain episode. It's sad, really. x]
 
I wouldnt say I'm Buffy-natic but I'm really Angel-natic.
Here are some things I do:
- I cant go more than 2 days without watching it even though Ive already seen all the episodes twice, some of them even more.
- I quote the show and people are not even realizing.
- I compare things that happen in my life to events one the show.
- I think its wonderful when i meet someone who likes the show too and they just think I'm crazy cause then I cant stop talking about it.
- I call my boyfriend ''My Angel''
- When I have a kid I wanna name it Angel (actually I liked that name before I watched the show)
- I made up a new Word: angeling, that means that I'm online doing something Angel-related
- A couple of weeks ago I meet a guy whos nickname was Spike and I started laughin real hard and he gave me that ''WTF is wrong with that girl''-look... That was embarrassing
- When I start talking about Angel, all of my friends stop listening....

There are a lot more things I cant think of right now...
