How Come The UK Get's The DVD's First (And We Get The Videos)

How come the UK is ahead of the US with Buffy and Angel DVD's? Also I don't think the US even get the box sets. Can anyone tell me why?

Was about to say the same thing, Pointy...I'm not a UKer though. lol But I still don't understand the VHS thing... why doesn't the US sell those; not everyone has a dvd player...

BTW - I read in our TV guide for last week that we Brits were the first to get an ep of "Firefly" - shown on UK sci-fi. Apparently, it was one that was unshown in the US because of the cancellation. I don't know how true that is 'cos I've not had chance to watch any of it yet...

I'm pretty sure that the DVD that will be released in the US of Firefly will have the unaired episodes. Since the UK is airing the episodes later than the US did, you'll probably get to see all the episodes we didn't see. Actually, I was just reading that SciFi UK aired episode 'Trash' on July 21st, 2003 and episode 'The Message' on July 28th, 2003... both two episodes the US hasn't seen. 'Heart of Gold' has yet to be seen by the US or the UK I believe. Can't wait for those DVDs.😉

Yeah Firefly eps are being shown here that were canned in the US (one was shown last night but I dont watch it).

I dunno why we get the DVDs first, but im not going to moan. With Buffy we get the extras but with Friends we get nothing and the USA have loads of extras.
