I was wondering..how do you think they could have won that fight?
I was thinking maybe they could get lucky and Buffy would send a few of the other slayers along for the fight..I mean this does concern EVERYONE doesn't it...?

Theres always the possibility that they fled.(Although HIGHLY unlikely)

Intervention from the powers that be/Cordelia/Doyle/Darla/Wesley/or another ally from 'above'(or below....or from another dimension)

They were strong enough to beat the senior partners(again...unlikely) They have been known to win even if the odds are against them.

Although I think its most likely that buffy and co would save the day.

You see, i have wrote a Fic detailing a Scoob intervention, and i do believe that this is what would happen, but i gotta say that on a personal note, i believe i would prefer a Team Angel solution simply because i want them to truly prove that without the back-up of the Scoobs, they can handle something this big, basically sticking one in the eye of Giles et al for their betrayal(yes i think thats what it was in season 5) of them.
but like i say, its kinda obvious that the scoobs would have some hand there

Yey go Al go! that was beautiful
I really don't see the point of questions like 'What makes you think they survived'.
I mean we have Joss saying they did, we have Tim Minear telling us that he is working on getting a Spike TVM going(even if it never gets made)....personally i don't want people telling me they are dead, because that takes awayhope, not in the series, but in Good.

Chill out. I did not know these things. So I always assumed they had died. And I am not telling you they are dead. I assumed they were cos I couldnt se how they could survive. So maybe you could have been a bit nicer in your post.

Not everyone knows whats going on you know. That was the point of my question. Just in case you missed it again.

It wasn't meant as an attack, i just don't wanna read they are all dead, you know. I mean you wanna kill Buffy go ahead, but i like the Fang Gang, and i wanna believe they still protect the world
What makes you think they survived?
I was actually about to say the same thing. I just assumed they wanted to keep an ending that was open to "interpret" or whatever, lol, but to me it looked highly unlikely that they'd survive. Now, if you tell me they did, I'm all happy about that, but when I first saw that episode, I almost assumed they'd die..

I hope they all died, damn fools.

What is hope, really?
Hope is just something for "despair" to kick around now and again.. something for it to toy with.
"See, the world doesn't work in spite of evil, Angel. - It works with us. - It works because of us."
Like it would matter if they died anyway. These guys? Death is just a nuisance they brush off.

I think they have to have survived, Maybe not all of them, but since the main characters for a spin off are Illyria and Spike (By main I mean ones that have been mentioned), I think it's safe to assume that they somehow came out of the battle!

Simple, one word a bomb, all the demons were in once location in a semi enclosed area

Here are some of the possibillities I've seen suggested for escape in fanfic and speculative threads.

1. Buffy & Co. to the rescue is the most common one.

2. The stored power in Wesley's Illyria power-zapping gun.

3. All Angels friends throughout the five seasons gather to form an army.

4. Something unexplained happened to Connor during the fight with Hamilton, and the wrecking of W&H.

5. They aren't killed. They're captured, and put on trial.

6. Alternate Dimension Travel.

3. All Angels friends throughout the five seasons gather to form an army.

This one is my absolute fave.
I've been kinda toying with some idea based around this one.
The idea was, there was no randomness to the PTB's visions, infact it was a strategic move. Knowing that the final fight was coming, the PTB's needed key people(Kinda like what we see in Terminator - regular people who step up to the mark when they are needed to) to survive. Obviously sending a Vision of everyone who is in trouble would be kinda pointless as Angel just isnt able to save everyone, so instead he saves those who are needed....it ties in with the fact that Buffy, Cordelia and Gunn each have part in a Vision, as they are players.

Can i ask, N4H, what was your idea?

Well, the Angel's Army thing was a speculative thread I posted once, where I just asked, if there was such a force which characters could be part of it. It's here.

I did write a fanfic once where there was a trial. I have posted the link before, but ever hopeful someone might actually read it, I'll post it again. :silly:

The alernative dimension one was some friend of Old Masters. It was a fanfic. It was really good.

^^ Thankies..I don't think they all died..rather morbid..I mean they survived everything else...and each time they never stood a chance..so why not now

I like the idea of Angel's friends showing up to help, as fro teh trial well that is an interesting spin on things kinda reminds me of an old Dr Who ep Trial of a Time Lord, but maybe not in the same league as such..i think it is a good idea that, N4H.

I like the idea that they all survived. Maybe because I want a closure in big screen with two show's gangs. I mean who doesn't?
