I was watching "Lover's Walk" and there was no way Cordelia could have survived that fall. I know it's TV but still, how did she survive it?

I think that it's plausible that someone could survive a fall like that, if I recall correctly Charisma Carpenter survived a similiar fall in real life.

really????
Because later the writers still had to slowly and painfuly defile Cordelia's character....🙁

By making her a three dimensional, part-demon, mother figure, badass, hot chick who could see the future? That's called character development

I think she was refering to the Jasmine storyline.

David is right. I just meant the whole Jasmine thing and what they did with her and Connor.

Agree with David, and Hale Caesar Cordelia was way hotter in Sunnydale.
Also, not to meta-game but they wouldn't kill off a main cast member on something trivial like a collapsing flight of stairs. It's good for a moment or two of drama but isn't going to change anythng in the big picture.

Hey there had been guys who survived a spike through their head! (I heard about twice!) So why don't survive a fall like that?

No serious, as brinkster allready said if no major organ is damaged ... may she had only luck may she just survived because it's a TV-Show! 😀

Because it's Sunnydale. Weird things happen. 😉 (This is my answer to everything BtVS related 😛 )

'Because of the Hellmouth' it worked for the writers for 7 years we can use it too, dammit :)

So true!
Of course there's a chance that she could have survived.
I know a guy who fell from a tree. He fell on some branches and got literally impaled and cut open.
(This is kinda rough content now)
His intestines dropped out
and he walked out of the forest and passed out beside the road where a car driver picked him up and brought him to a hospital.
He survived, of course, so that's pretty much proof that Cordelia could have survived as well.

I can't remember that episode, did it show her actually landing on the bit of a bar. She could have bounced onto it. Was there pints of blood on the ground around her? If there was, that might indicate a major organ.

But they had to keep her in the series, Xander was on the way out of being the thicko, so they had to keep someone who said dumb comments.

I have not medical knowledge at all, but I think that if she survived then no organ were damaged. And if I remember right this is what Buffy and Willow say right after that scene, they comment on Cordy being at hospital but no organs were hit..dunno if I remember right though.

You are right, Willow tells Buffy "None of her vitals were punctured".

Also, the moment right before that when they show the funeral and it makes you think it's Cordelia's always gives me chills. 🙁

What club was Willow in that Xander used to be in? The we hate Cordelia club? So Willow saying it didn't hit any vital organs, it could have punctured her heart and Willow may still have said that no major organs were hit.
Also, given the shows knowledge of human anatomy, it could have hit her heart.
Point of being. In episode one, when Xander staked the vampire Jesse, he staked him near the throat.

I remember when i first saw that ep and the scene when it cuts to a funeral i honestly thought it was cordelias at the time. almost cried but then willow and buffy came along and it was ok.
