Today was suposed to me my oldest half brothers 27th birthay. But unfotionately he died 11 years ago.
My father went to his grave today with my other half brother to celibrate....
It made me think. I was 5 when he shot him self in his mothers basement, he was my age........16 a month after his birthday. I dont remember him nor do I get sad when somone talks about him..but I saw my dads and brothers face when they came home and I wanted to cry.

How does it feel to loose a sibling or somone to a cuicide?
Loosing somone to old age doesnt count. I mean a young person dying.....its kinda scary.

My best friends counin shot her self last month and she was only 12 years old. Her older sister found her dead........
I mean if you think about it, its realy scary!!

When I was in 3rd grade of junior hight a girl I knew(mostly coz we were always going together to participate in various quizzes, competitions etc.) commited suicide. She jumped from 10 th floor. She had a lot of problems at home and no one knew hot to help her. When I found out I was in shock. She was just 15,had good grades,a boyfriend. She was just abused by her father as our ingenious school councelor told us.
Now I can better understnad her motives, but I'd never have enough courage to jump from the 10th floor..

My cousin killed himself last december and he was like 25. I didnt know him that well, but it just totally ruined his family. His dad was dying and was getting better until my cuz died and now he's a total mess again. I'm not sure how my cuz killed himself, but I heard a rumor that he smoked the tailpipe of his car or something.

srry ana8...you too michelle!!! I heard when you kill your self with car exhaust (or how evr u spell it) its like falling asleep......but thats still also scary, falling asleep but never waking up. And jumping off of a building....I get scared being up like 8 feet when Im held by cheerleaders......but 10 FLOORS?!?!

ana8...its really hard for counsalors now days...cause...they got like hundreds of kids to look after...its hella easy for kids to slip through the cracks now...

mich...sorry for you loss...even though you didn't know him that well...thats still a loss...cause down the line...you two might have gotten to know each other...i hope he found the peace he sought...

la...hella sorry for family...but...i'm glad that they celibrate his life than mourn his death...that's how it should be...people always want to know how people die...instead of how people lived...

great thread la...

my boy...from intermediate and high school...hung himself in his dorm room like 2 years ago...dude was the most open and coolest dude you could meet...he was strong in heart and body...and smart...and just cool...he never put any one down...cool with every body...had an awesome presence...but i guess that deep down...he had issues...i wish he were still among the living...but...he's probably pullin some crazy shiz up there...

my mom is dead to me...i know that i should forgive and forget...but...it's like she's dead...she sends me cards and shiz...but...i don't even want to look at the envelope...i guess that counts for losing a loved one...

wow SG! Im sorry about your friend......its always the perfect happy people that die (well not true but it seems like it) and u never understand why.
As for your ma..............may I ask what hapend to make you distant yourself from her?

Soulgasm.-our councelor had just 300 students to take care of and besides it was a common knowledge that this girl had problems at home..Itr's not like it was all perfect and as with your friend it all happened suddenly..

over bearing mom that abandons us...then only comes back years later and expects everything to be alright...lol...

I've never lost anyone that way...And I'm really happy about that!
A friend of a friend of mine died a while ago...Not suicide, but it was pretty tragic! She was 17 i think, and she was found dead in her bed...They still don't know how she died, but it was probably the heart! It's so scary! She was just a little older then me...

I've never lost a family member that I was close too and I never experianced thier death...I guess I'm still waiting...

So far you're lucky...be grateful...because it's one of the most awful feelings in the world...

About two years ago I lost a family member I was really close to from Lung Cancer due to smoking. At first when she got sick I was mad, I blamed her for smoking. Then she was gone...and it hits you like a very large, painful boulder. And my mom still smokes even after someone she was close to died from it.

IMO suicide isn't never courageous. It's cowardice. Courage is living on even when you want to die...so consider your self courageous if you don't jump...

i recently lost an uncle who was 5years older than me,so we were very close......he comited suicide...we don't really know why, he seemed perfectly fine, in his college, with his girlfriend, family and friends...he semed to have a perfect life...it was a very big shock for me when i found out...my aunt found him in his room, he was still alive, he had injested lots of pills (i don't tremenber the name) but when he arrived at the hospital he was already dead...i've deal with it by trying to ignoring it...my life's kinda had a turn from heaven to hell lately, so problems is one thing that i don't miss right now....if i just don't think about it it ok....but still it's weird thinkig i'll never gionna see or talk again with one of my best friends...

I'm really sorry for all of your guy's losses. I've never lost anyone to suicide. I lost my grandmother to cancer when I was nine. No one told me about anything until she had passed away. But I guess everyone gets the shock of realizing that you'll never see that person again.
