Question How did Willow survive the lobotomy Warren was doing to her?

Just starting to read the comics and this parts confused me a lot. One minute she's in kind of a fantasy state away from the pain of what Warren is doing and the next Buffy's saved her and she doesn't have a scratch on her?
You can clearly see before hand Warren cutting into her eye, and then all of a sudden she's smiling like nothings wrong? I know she's incredibly powerful, but even in season 7 it took her time and slayer energy to heal her skin.
 
I haven't seen this but it sounds like you are describing a transorbital lobotomy where the incision is made by a scalpel that goes around the eye and requires no drilling of the skull.

Yes that must have been what it was, I'm just unsure of whether Willows healing witchcraft has increased without the viewer being told or im missing something. She had no blood on her and her eye was fine. Hopefully they explain it later on 🙂
 
Buffy & Satsu infiltrated the compound and as they fought dozens of armed soldiers it alerted Willow to her presence. She said "Did I ever tell you about my best friend?" and mentions their connection (maybe permanent due to the Primeval joining spell, Bargaining resurrection, Same Time Same Place healing siphon, & Chosen activation spell). Close to death, Willow switched her witch abilities with Buffy's Slayer abilities, which meant accelerated healing. We saw in the scene, Buffy start using magic and Willow fully recovering.

Willow's magic abilities increased since she just returned from a 6 month walkabout in the spirit realms studying the Craft under the tutelage of a powerful demoness.

Look, once you start establishing that a character can astral project, then a lobotomy is meaningless. Brain damage is no different from loss of limb at that point, it's like damaged strings to a puppeteer.
 
Having read this, I have literally no idea how she got out of that unscathed.

Survival would be pretty much guaranteed, since lobotomy just damages/removes a part of the brain. Other users have clarified this, so I won’t double up.

What I can’t understand whatsoever is how on Earth she managed to get out of that situation without a single issue. The way it’s portrayed makes it pretty clear Warren did something, even if not the actual lobotomy itself. Next panel though, Willow is all pristine smiles when she sees Buffy walk into the room….huh???

Feels like Joss just didn’t care to write anything interesting with that angle, and so Willow is miraculously okay.

I felt like oh, Willow was going to be controlled or something like that and then they just decided to drop that
