How did you find Buffy Boards?

How did you find Buffy Boards? Where you told about it by a friend or where you just looking around on the internet? Also what made you join Buffy Boards?

I found Buffy Boards because I was on cafepress.com looking at Buffy items they where selling and I kept seeing items about "Buffy Boards" and "BB". I kept wondering what that was, so I looked it up and bam, here I am.
What made me join was that I did not have anybody to talk to in real life about Buffy, and I saw that a ton of people still love the show and are avid posters about it, so I joined.

I joined b/c none of my peeps like Buffy. So I was need of way cooler people to talk about Buffy with.

Ages ago I googled Buffy Forums and this came up.

I was around for a little while then my life went "HIOSJFKLDFJIOJFLSDJFL." Yeah. And I re-found it once I had a computer again, and again with Google, and remembered I had an account and now I love this place because it is made of awesome. Pretty much live here.

I had been looking for a Buffy forum for a long time and for some reason BB was not showing up in my Google or Yahoo searches (I still don't know why that is) any way, I was looking through the BuffyGuide website and I saw link to BB, checked it out and hoped to God the place was not dead. To my utter delight, BB was very much alive 🙂

I did the exact same thing... although I may have written "buffy discussion boards" or something like that... I was just dying to find people who shared my obsession to talk to.

I went to another forum, and not only did it not look as nice, but their conversations were way too deep. So deep that it didn't seem fun. Buffy is fun, not serious boring 'yuck' like James Joyce or Sergio Borges.

Then I saw how nice everyone was, and how Darla and the Mods right a tight ship. I like that. 🙂

Same here... I wasn't looking for a forum, I just followed a link to a post here while reading something on BuffyGuide. 🙂

I was embracing my geekness and admitted myself that I loved talking on forums. So I thought "Heeeeey, if there's a good Buffy forum, I *have* to join! It'll make me even more addicted to Buffy and Internet but whatever, I'm ready for this!". So I google "Buffy forum" like [MENTION=9532]PrincessBuffy16[/MENTION] and there were a few forums in french, but I didn't feel drawn to them. Then there was this, *the* Buffy-boards, and I've been going through it a bit and I was like "Oh wow. They have subforums for Buffy, Angel, the Whedonverse. Oh wow, they have episode music guides. Oh wow, they have conversations episode by episode. Oh wow, they are still very active, even tough Buffy ended 7 years ago. OH WOW. I. MUST. JOIN."

I was looking at my video stats on youtube and saw that someone had linked the video here. So I decided to check it out. I had never joined a forum before and had no interest in joining forums but I ended up loving BB so I stayed. 😀

One day in September of 2008, I was doing a rewatch of the show and thought about the days when I used to frequent the original Buffy board, The Bronze. I thought "I wonder if there are still any good Buffy forums out there?" so I Googled "Buffy forum" and BB was the first one that popped up. I joined immediately and made my online home here. 😀

I was getting into the Buffy books and comics and wanted other people that liked buffy to talk to about questions i had as my friends arent buffy fans. So i googled buffy forum and found this site and joined immediately, my boyfriend said i should look around first but i liked the look of this one and stayed 🙂

I had just finished both series for the second time and no one in my RL wanted to talk about it... I had joined the IMDb board because I was already a member of IMDb and frequented several boards on that site... but since that board is so full of horrible behavior and meanness, I went searching for a new place to talk about Buffy. I was at my friend's house and I was on her computer and looked up "Buffy forum" in google and BB came up. I looked at it and read through the FAQ/rules page... I was AMAZED at how amazing the organization, the rules, and accountability was... I mean it was just.... So I decided to join. And I did and then when I got home, I made my first post. 🙂

I used to just sign up on fourms and then forget about them (I never really posted) but I stayed here on BB 😀 and I'm glad I did, I've met alot of people here and friends. and I've got people to talk to about Buffy 😀
