How do we become a mod?

dont post a topic like this would be a start 🙂

and unless im totally wrong and this board is run weirdly (😉) then no you dont need a certain number of posts, you just need to frequently visit the boards (compulsory thing this) and post good posts and generally enjoy being here and stuff, get on with people and you'll be a mod in no time (well maybe a few months but whos counting)
 
Well if you look in the code of conduct I'm sure there's a mention in there somewhere.

But no, moderators are not chosen on the number of posts they make, otherwise it would just turn into a board full of spam so that those hoping to get mod status out of posting loads.

When choosing a mod what we look for here is post content and interaction with other board members... you gotta have that Panache... that flare... that style and all that Jazz... but asking won't get you anywhere you just have to be patient and let nature run it's course... if anyone here is destined to be a moderator in our eyes then they shall become if they accept the offer and we'll keep you all posted on any changes in the Mods line-up 🙂

Hope that's cleared a little up for you, It's 20 to 2 in the mornin and it's time fer bed, which reminds me.. I gotta change my banners tomorrow... 😀

I shall be adding a "How to be a moderator" piece to the posting guidelines in a couple of minutes. 🙂
 
sorry for trying to be helpful ... didnt look like the question was directed at anyone in paticular so i thought i'd reply.

looks like i'll think twice before posting anything here again ...
 
Well, you didn't know the board staff's policy on this issue so you should have let one of us answer this particular question - and coming down on another member for asking the question was not very nice either. She is not automatically "out" because she asked. It's asking specifically to be a mod that we frown upon - as you know.
 
all right i agree that was probably not the best opening line i could of come up with and im sorry to the member for sounding harsh or mean in any way but i was just trying to help.

and the basics for becoming a mod on any board are ... well basically the same, thats how boards are run well so i just thought i'd offer an opinion on what i thought because as you yourself said ... i do know 🙂
