How do you hide text?

This is another one I've been meaning to ask. How do people hide text in black, so that you can't see what is there until you use your mouse on it? You know, the thing people do to hide spoilers and such?

You can just wrap your text like you would do with quotes, but instead write [ spoiler ] text [/ spoiler ]. 🙂
