How do you place the banners in the messages?

Could you plz help me. I got a banner but i dont no how, or where, to place it. any help would be appreciated. thanx.

To put it in a message put [img*] and [*/img] round it but without the stars
and to put it in your sig you can also do that - or another code i can't remember
