How do you think Cordelia would have felt, knowing Xander was getting married?

I was thinking about Cangel earlier and all their previous relationships and it got me to thinking. How do you think Cordy would have felt knowing that Xander was getting married? Do you think she would be jealous that the 'nerd' had got the girl and was about to (presumably) settle down? Or do you think she wouldn't really care? Would it not have crossed her mind? Or did she not know at all?

What are your opinions?
 
I don't think she would've cared. The relationship was long over and they both seemed to have moved on emotionally. I'd hope she'd have regarded the situation positively. This is obviously colored by my own responses to ex-boyfriends from High School getting married, all of whom I felt proud of regardless of how the relationship had ended.

I guess it really depends on whether you feel she was really over Xander and how petty you think she would be.
 
I think initially she may have had a moment of jealously and disbelief; but I doubt those feelings would have lasted. I could see her making snarky comment about feeling sorry for Anya.

She was over Xander by that point and any ill feelings she had probably would have stemmed from not being a part of the Scoobies any more, annoyance that Xander made a serious relationship step before she did and simply being unable to imagine Xander maturing enough to be getting married. After the news settled in a bit, I don't think she would have cared a bit.

Kinda makes me sad, but I think you're right
I don't think she would've cared. But I think she might've been interested to find out that he was marrying ex-demon Anya. After considering this scenario, part of me wishes that Angel and Cordelia had attended Xander and Anya's wedding. Lol.
 
I agree, by the time the almost-wedding took place, Xander was a special memory for Cordy, but not a whole lot more than that. She might have taken Anya aside for one of those "If you ever so much as THINK about hurting him..." speeches, but for the most part she would be happy for him.

And of course, there would be that little smirk when no one was watching, because Xander had let her slip through his fingers and had had to settle for second best. (Hey, we're talking about Queen Cordelia, here. Hottest chick to ever tread the halls of Sunnydale High. Ego like that never fades away completely)

Yeah, I agree she probably wouldnt have cared. She might have been interested to know it was Anya but I dont think she would have got upset or jealous.
 
Three words: happy for him.

I don't think she would have personally cared enough to feel jealous or something but I do think she would have had a little smile and a fond thought of Xander, she did care for him once and I don't think she wanted him any harm, so she would probably just have been happy for him..
 
I think she would have been happy for him, they parted on good terms afterall. I think she would have been happy that he had his life sorted out

I see it the opposite way, I don't see (factoring in her emotional growth) why Cordelia wouldn't have been happy for him. I don't see her spending a lot of time thinking about it granted but had she found out I think she would have been pleased to know that he was doing well (which I would guess would be her assumption at those news)
 
I'm with the "happy for him" crowd. By the time of Xander's wedding, Cordelia had matured a lot emotionally, not to mention that she and Xander had parted on good terms. I can see her exchanging amusing tales with Willow on the phone, seeing as she and Willow seemed to be Phone Friends after Sunnydale.
 
I agree with being happy for him. There was no jealousy between the two at this stage and certainly no hard feelings. The end of their relationship in season 3, when they were at the Prom, clearly showed how they had moved on and gotten over each other.

I think it would have made for a nice cross over though because having either Cordy appear on Buffy or Xander appearing on Angel would have been so much fun to watch.
