Even though I don't really care that much about Ted, I was pretty happy that
Stella wasn't the mother...not that I expected it to be her in the first place.
Besides, we all know who the mother is...
the slutty pumpkin!

Anyway, I liked this episode. Last week's was better, but I guess that's because I tend to like the funny, filler episodes of HIMYM more than the ones that drive the plot forward. And have I mentioned I've loved all of the Lily/Barney interaction this season? I do wish Marshall would get a little more involved, though.

It threw me for a loop.

I'm with you Crazy Flakes, I liked last weeks intervention alot more than this weeks. (still liked it, but it was sorta a downer.) It's outcome didn't really suprise me in the fact that Ted didn't get to do the 'deed', I kinda got that vibe from the intervention episode's ending.

I just didn't see it happening in the manner that it did. Clever writing.
 
*I think after seeing this episode that Robin is going to end up being the mother to those kids. After talking about how seeing your ex always brings stuff up. I mean, I dont know. I am just not sure.*
 
Hannah, that would be a HUGE surprise since old Ted from the first episode (the end) has refered to her as aunt Robin...


I´d love it if CF is right though. That would be perfect. 😀

Ok I am retarded I totally forgot about that. So yeah, nevermind :)
So is anyone bringing Robin back on the table of potential mothers? I mean, that was the ONE woman(besides Lily, lol) who I really excluded. I mean, "you're aunt Robin" is not "Your Mother Robin".

Shoudl we open a new thread only for mother speculations?
 
maybe one child on the couch is Ted and Robins (his actual son or daughter) and one is a cousin visiting. Depending on who Ted's looking at when he's telling the story (which we never see) depends on the one he's talking too and weather its Aunt Robin or your Mom...

I doubt this though, with the alternate reality bit last week where stella was the mom, both kids had blonde hair and she said something about "is your father..... whatever, whatever".

I just want to keep the Robin hope alive. 😛
 
Sorry, but Robin...that's never gonna happen. Maybe they get married, have children (half siblings of the other ones), whatever, but she can't be the mother. Of course it doesn't say that the mother needs to be still there when he tells the story, but even then I don't think he will be with Robin in the end. The way he talks to the kids "You're aunt Robin" implies that they have always jsut known her as 'aunt'.

Just saw this week episode.
I thought it was hilarious (as they usual are).

They actually managed to do the very unsuprising ending at least a bit suprising. 🙂

Poor Robin, she really can't get a break in the news business.
Lol'd at her broadcasts with the monkey.

And no I really don't think Robin is the mum. That just doesn't make sense.
I belive in a last episode thing.

Nothing wrong with a little double posting. Especially if it´s great things like that. Is it time for a new episode tonight? Feels like forever since the last one.

USA Today did a story about HIMYM in today's edition,and there are a couple of previews of upcoming eps included,PLUS a little more insight on the thinking about who the mom is.

It should still be on USA Today's main page. If you can't access it,here's some highlights:

*The shows' creators/exec. producers have had a plan since the start and a good idea of how they'll introduce the identity of the mom. The question is how and when: it could come as late as the finale,or it could be earlier-with the lucky lady becoming part of the ensemble. BTW,they're not talking about the specifics.

*Look for Jamie-Lynn Sigler and Eric Braeden in future guest spots;Braeden is appearing in tonight's episode.

Well, at least it sounds like the show is doing pretty good, so we might hope for loads of more seasons 😀

Now to the new episode...
haha, everyone hiding under the table was just SO hilarious. Plus, story sharing, nice. I can't believe Barney even uses prison women like that, haha. Then there's Robin....it was soooo hilarious with her Dad, and how he goes all " I don't have a son" and "You are teammates" when he finds Robin with the guy after the game, haha. And Lily looked really goth in High School.
 
The new epsidoe was ok. As usual it had it´s moments but not like I laughed a lot.

Not the best episode but it was fun seeing Lily
as a baby
. Simple joke but it made the smile. And the theme of the episode was very suitable to say the least considering
Alyson being pregnant if anyone had missed those news.
. 😀
 
I don't know, I just hope so. Lily's useless since s3. Let's give them a pregnancy, so they have something to tell about her !
 
Hey, I have a question for the Americans among us. Is HIMYM on a winter break right now? If yes, when does it end? I know there wasn't a new episode ast Monday, probably due to Christmas approaching, but I wasn't sure if it was just that or a whole winter break until like February.

Yeah, it's on break until January 12th.
That's way to long to wait between episodes! For awhile there I had a nice little ritual happening: Monday nights was new episode of Entourage night and Tuesday night was HIMYM night... Now me and my boyfriend are just drinking way to much instead!

Oh, and I think I have fallen desperately in love with Marshall.
