How I Met Your Mother s4

thanks for that.

I'd be scared that HIMYM was ending, but I hear their syndication deal requires them to make at least one more season regardless of any other factors (even ratings).

Carter Bays and Craig Thomas are planning to do HIMYM until 2012, that's 7 seasons!

Also, isn't this against forum rules btw?

That's good to know, but I was referring to the "Renewal Factor." Since next season was already sold, they MUST produce it, regardless of if they're renewed or not.

This time the link was to news not to download and I hope that's not against the rules. But maybe just linking to a site there one can download is bad enough. A mod? Buffy? Some guidance wouldn't hurt. But of course it would be better with another source.

So it's been quiet for a while here. Lily scared away by a joke (which I've heard a theory about the "punshline") for 4 weeks? A very easy way to get rid of Alyson from the storyline for a while. The questions is if 4 weeks means 4 episodes which will mean the rest of the season or if we'll see her again before the season ends.

I know it don't have to be. That's why I said "the question is if...". 😉 Right now I don't know. Do you?

I know A punshline. If it's the same is hard to know until I've read yours. 😉

I want to know the punchline! But be honest guys, me as a girl, do you think I could laugh about it or is it really THAT bad?

It's you we're talking about right? 😉 You can take it. And no, it isn't that funny. But a male joke yes. I'll send it to you soon if you want. Just need to look it up again so I get it totally right.

I think it's funny, lol...I might be the first woman in history, though, haha
I don't really liked the ending. I know I'm expected to like it but it don't make sense to me. What does make sense is
that it seems to be the last season of Scrubs so Sarah Chalke can now come to the show full time if necessarry.
I do recognize the situation of many small things that could have been different but together they take you to something special happening. Just coincidence or faith? Sometimes it's actually hard to decide.

The ending was kind of anti-climatic since I'm pretty sure Stella is NOT the mother. I've also read from spoilers that we will meet the Mother
before this season ends

Also missing Lily, but this marked week 3 of her 3 week absence, right?

I'm pretty sure Stella is NOT the mother.
I think we had that discussion earlier but am too lazy to check. And I'm with you on that. I don't think it's her either. They made it look like it's her but it wouldn't add up. Maybe Stella introduces him to his wife or something so if they hadn't met that day he wouldn't have met his future wife.

To be honest, I don't really miss Lily that much.
But how cute was the way Barney looked at Robin in the end? They better get together at the end of the season!

eh, I think they'll drag it out longer than that. It's really the only "will they won't they" on HIMYM, because no matter how many breakups we know that Marshall & Lily will stay together, and Robin & Ted won't.

Personally, I think the cast is too much of a boy's club lately, Lily helps round it out.

See, that's the thing, I like the boy's club (sw)

And don't forget the biggest will they - won't they...Ted and his wife! As long as we don't know who she is that storyline can be dragged out for years.
The story is not actually about Barney and Robin, so I don't see why it shouldn't happen some time soonish...it's not like future Ted will end his story with "and that's how Aunt Robin and Uncle Barney hooked up".

Argh! I think I accidently gave you neg rep in the vent thread, sorry! It wasnt ment to be!
Yeah, the whole Stella story last season would look very strange if she is the mother....
So I hope it isn't.

Really liked this last episode though. A typical HIMYM episode, I enjoy that kind of storytelling.
But I miss Lilly big time!

I'm also a bit worried about Barney, that "what now" statement gets me to think that the character will change in the future. Not sure I want that.

I'm more or less 100% certain Stella is in fact not the Mom. Remember the wedding episode? When Ted told his kids that if he had married Stella, the story he tells would be over...in that would-be scene the Stella kids look different. So I think it's confirmed she can't really be the mother.

I'm pretty convinced that it's not Stella who is the mother.

They did that flashforward of what the kids would look like if she was and they were both blonde.

I was really hoping it would be Victoria who tapped on his shoulder.

Oh well.

He doesnt explicitly state that Stella is the mother (i dont think). Just that the events of that day led up to something very interesting and important to the story of how Ted met the mother of his kids...

As im writing this, the mother doesnt even have to be the same mother for each kid, and Ted doesnt even have to be married to them...hmmm.

Anyway, i agree, Stella being the mother would be a lame one on the creativity front.

It can't really be two mothers. Future Ted always talks to them like "Kids, have I told you how I met your mother", not "...how I met your mothers". But I agree on the marriage thing.

Well, like I pointed out before, according to the would-be scene Stella can't really be the Mum. I guess she will either introduce him to his future wife or his whole story of what would have happened if he had done something different that day ("If I hadn't stopped to talk to Stella..." like the "If I hadn't stopped to give a dollar to (whatever that guy was called)...") will continue a bit further.
