It's that time of the year again...How I Met Your Mother is back 😀 Im still all extatic and can't believe this is s7 already now!

So let's start to discuss the episodes again!

I loved that they chose to show two episodes at once. They were both really good. Best part was the end of the 2nd episode, I had no idea they were gonna do this, I was pleasently surprised.

All in all, food wat to start the season!

Well I love that Victoria is back. I love it appears Nora is giving Barney a chance. And I hate it appears Robin will marry Barney.

I did love these two episodes. I'm so happy Marshall and Lily told everyone they're pregnant! i can't wait for The Ducky Tie next week!

I love the new season so far. I loved when Ted was explaining that drinking game and then stopped and asked his kids "Wait.. why am I telling you this?".. and I was like, why are you telling any of this to your kids, especially with how many woman you and their uncle Barney slept 😛

I like Nora, but I like Barney with Robin more. I kinda hope she's the bride. I tried to figure out who the bride actually is.. when Lily came in, she told Ted the bride wants to talk to him. Why would Nora want to talk to him? It seams more likely that Robin would like to do that, but then again, maybe they're just playing with us.

Victoria is back. Now I have a strange urge to try her cupcakes!

I honestly don't understand shipping Barney/Robin. They're too... similar. To make a couple interesting you have to have a factor of "they look like they wouldn't work, but they so do" that Barney and Robin don't have. And we've already seen them in a relationship together. they don't work. they were so miserable. I feel like everyone forgets that.

Actually, if you go by psychological research, equals DO attract 😉 (contrary to popular belief). AND the more similar people are, the greater the chance usu of a long lasting relationship.

But that's real life... not TV. TV relationships are better when you have the opposite thing... Because they're more interesting, at least for me.

I think the writers are really in a dilemma with the whole wedding situation now. It's basically the same concept as the whole show...instead of who is the mother, it's who's the bride. There's just one important difference: we don't know who the mother is, and after Robin we don't really have any preferences anymore, because due to her no-show quality I think we'd just like whoever will be the mother.
Barney's wedding is different though. I think we can say with some certainty that it's either Nora or Robin. On some level I agree that I don't want Barney and Robin together, because we saw in early s5 that it was kinda bad for the show. On the other hand, we all like Robin, so a lot of us are just drawn to root for Robin anyways! We'll see who it is in the end. Right now I can still see it go both ways.

I loved how they did the Victoria thing, how her reappearance matched her first appearance, complete with the glance across the room and everything!
Only thing I kinda dislike now is that we already know she can't be the mother...would be so much cooler if we didn't.

I was surprised! Happens too rarely so I'm glad that Victoria showed up. I'm not a Barney/Robin shipper. In fact I'm not a big fan of Robin. Sure she got lots of good scenes but all in all I think she's the one I'd miss least if anyone had to leave the show.

I liked seeing Martin Short but all the jokes with his characters seemed way too forced and obvious. I hope we get to see more of him though.

when Lily came in, she told Ted the bride wants to talk to him. Why would Nora want to talk to him?

I agree that it would make more sense for Robin to want to talk to him but all in all I assume (which is dangerous to do) that no matter who the bride is they know everyone in the group of friends so anyone could have a reason to talk to Ted. She could have talked with everyone else before Lily went to get Ted.

As long as the show goes on with no end in sight I wouldn't take anything too serious. Maybe Barney marries someone that's not Robin or Nora.

What bugs me most is Lily saying the bride which would feel wrong if it's Robin. Obviously they had to do it that way not to give out who the bride is (even if saying "Robin wants to talk to you" wouldn't guarantee that she was the bride.) but it still annoy me.

Only thing I kinda dislike now is that we already know she can't be the mother...would be so much cooler if we didn't.

The funny thing is that many that watch the show doesn't seem to care about stuff like that. In the last two years I've seen people say they think Robin might be the mother...

I thought there was still a chance Victoria could be the mother? Or did Ted rule her out completely?

Hate to burst that bubble, but it was clarified that Ted meets his future wife at Barney's wedding 🙁

But hey, quick thought...Victoria made cakes for weddings, so maybe the mother will be someone who's also somewhere involved in the wedding business.

I cannot believe Victoria is back! I am soo excited by this. I've read that she is "endgame" so I have a feeling that Ted meets his wife through Victoria or something.

I love how they are bringing back people and other stuff from previous seasons! It is excellent. The whole legal pad/color chart part of the second episode was hilarious. "And kids they all cheered." Hahaa, no, no they did not.

I thought it was very good!
How I Met Your Mother has changed since the first season. Every Show changes. But I like the show that How I Met Your Mother has changed into very much.
And Alyson looks as amazing as always! 🙂

Remember the episode last season when Rachel Bilson guest starred and we know for certain that teds future wife was Rachel Bilsons roommate but they didn't actually meet in that apartment....am I wrong or do I remember seeing blonde hair?

I feel like it could still be Victoria but honestly I don't like her very much....she's cute and good for Ted and all but personally I just am not a fan, I find her a little annoying.

I seriously think about this show all the time and try to figure out if the writers even know who the mother is...I doubt they do.

So we know his future wife was roommates with Rachel Bilsons character, she also had that yellow umbrella didn't she? I'm drawing a blank here.....what else do we know for certain about her??

-can't possibly imagining someone not shipping BrOTP, but realizes that she's hanging out too much in the barneyrobin LJ community-
God, I loved the remix that Punchy did. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5AsjA7ulqXQ&feature=player_embedded"]Link for the full version![/ame] So excited that HIMYM's started up again. Is anyone else here on BB also in the barneyrobin community in LJ? I loved Victoria's return (though kinda spoiled for that surprise, but still), and Nora better in this episode than the others she was in. But still, Robin eternally pwns her. Think the bride'll be Robin, coz of the fandom support, and cast/crew preferences (based on interview vids).

So we know his future wife was roommates with Rachel Bilsons character, she also had that yellow umbrella didn't she? I'm drawing a blank here.....what else do we know for certain about her??

Facts about the mother, by one HIMYM nerd:

-She probably doesn't have blonde hair, based on the fact that when Ted was saying what would've happened if he HAD married Stella, the kids had blonde hair and not brown, implying that the kids got their hair color from the Mother (dark hair).

-Not Victoria, Robin, Stella or Zoey. Or anyone Ted's really met yet.

-Roomates with Cindy (character of Rachel Bilson).

-Was in the Economics 305 class Ted accidentally taught on his first day at Columbia.

-Has legs (lol). Coz, you know, the ankle we glimpsed.

-Original owner of the yellow umbrella.

-Attended the St Patrick's Party back in "No Tomorrow". (And lost her yellow umbrella there.)

-Meets Ted at Barney's wedding.

-Probably meets Ted in NY, because in "Lucky Penny", Ted said that it was a good thing he didn't get the job and move to Chicago, because then he wouldn't have met the Mother, implying that he meets her in NY.

-Has a mini yellow bus.

-Plays bass guitar.

-Read "Love in the Time of Cholera".

-Plays with her breakfast food to sing showtunes. ("Your mother's rendition of 'Memory,' as performed by an English muffin is, to this day, the most hauntingly beautiful thing I have ever heard.")

-Paints robots playing sports.

love that vid :)
I ship Robin/Barney, but I hope she's not the bride 'cause I think I read a spoiler a while back saying that the wedding doesn't necessarily end well. Something about how it's the start of one relationship (Ted's) and the end of another.

Only watched the first ep so far. I'll have to watch the 2nd one tomorrow.

Anyone caught the latest episode (7.03 Ducky Tie)? I think it's funnier and more interesting than either of the two episodes in the premiere, because of Victoria storyline. Surprised that they're going back to
Ted/Robin
, though, which is interesting. So now it's kind of a
love square, with Nora, Barney, Robin and Ted
. Plus, I read in future spoilers that
Robin'll be getting with her therapist (for about 4 episodes or so), so it'll be a love pentagon!
What Victoria said about
her and Ted's kiss after washing dishes, and how it might have been fated so Victoria could be even more certain of Klaus maybe mirrors revisiting T/R? In this case, it would be to remember how T/R (parallel to Ted/Victoria) was flawed or something along those lines, so B/R (parallel to Victoria/Klaus) is more certain.

LOVED THE EPISODE.

Poor Barney, I really wonder will he wear that ducky tie for the whole year. And when Lily flashed him -> too funny. Barney is really a master mind when it comes to his plans. It was a delight hearing Lily say son of a bitch. I love the way Aly says it. Good I wasn't one of those people who were excited about Victoria's return, because I would be extremely disappointed now.

You guys heard Katie Holmes will be the slutty pumpkin?

You guys heard Katie Holmes will be the slutty pumpkin?

Yep, read about that in spoilers.
Excited for the Slutty Pumpkins return, but don't know much about Katie Holmes except for a skim of her Wiki page. Looks like S7 will be revisiting a lot of Ted's past relationships, like Victoria and Robin, and now, the Slutty Pumpkin. Maybe the perfect girl from "Milk" will show up too?

And about the
Ducky Tie--In one of the flash forwards in the previous two-parter premiere, Barney's wearing the tie. (The flash forward about Marshall never ever getting drunk again, in the casino.)

Have you guys watched the latest episode? (Disaster Averted.)

Can I just say:
SQUEEEEEE~

The B/R kiss right at the end was just... well, squee. And the fact that it aired on my birthday (though I could stream it the day after, with the time zone stuff) is the icing on the cake! I just loved the episode's humour and storylines, even before the epic cab scene right at the end.
