How I pictured the series finale - NOT SPOILERS

Ever since I've been watching Buffy I've always pictured the series finale having the Hellmouth finally open and having the big huge multi-headed Demon (having grown even more) coming out and Buffy and the gang have to fight the biggest battle ever conceivable, with beautifully adverterous musical scores and tons of special effects. After the moster was defeated and a few main characters were dead (not buffy, willow, xander, or giles), the Hellmouth was no more and Sunnydale became a nice, safe place for Buffy to live out the normal life she had always wanted, while still occasionally fighting the forces of darkness that would undoubtedly linger. It would end with her looking out from her home at kids playing in the street while the sun is setting. She would smile, then close the door and the screen would fade to black where we would see "Executive Producers Joss Whedon and Marti Noxon" one last time.

This is in no way a spoiler, just the idea I've had in my head for years for the series finale. What do you think?

i personally think that that ending is a little too flowery and sweet for anything joss would conceivably come up with 😛

no matter what happens, it'll be a good, satisfying close... right?

It needs to be sad and depressing to leave a lasting impact on the viewers, which I think is what Joss is going for. There will be some moral to the story I feel, a certain lesson that he will try to end it on, you know?

I'm kinda thinking this War will happen and there will only be a few survivors... the Angel cast is coming to sunnydale after all, expect to see one of them bite the dust 😀 it is Joss' style after all.

But with the episode being called 'Chosen' I think the final shot will be of our next Slayer... leaving the field open for that all important spin off.

I think the hellmouth should close and Buffy be the last slayer to guard it... and some of the surviving charcters to go to Angel and others be in the spin-off....... if there is one...

I agree with you. Buffy close the hellmouth and pray that some of the characters like Willow be on Angel or make their own spin off.

Thanx...... James Marsters and Nicholas (sp?) Brendon have both said they'd like to got Angel if there will be no spin-off..... and there are talks about haveing a Willow one buit Alyson wants to boost her movie charear (sp?).

I read somewhere that JM he might join Angel, but it will be unlikely because since his character and Angel don't get along.

That's why I want him on the show!!! Also only Angel is going to Buffy.

Umh that is exactly why he should be there, if two characters dislike eachother that creates more interesting plots = better ratings = more Angel.

But the show wouldn't make sense anymore!

Why not? Buffy disappears and there are no longer any ties with him to Sunnydale, he doesn't know where to go or what his 'calling' is so he decides to go to the only person he feels could help him with that...Being Angel, since they are sort of old buddies as well as rivals.

Who knows? Maybe Angel and Spike will clear things up in the last episode. Now that Spike has a soul their is no reason for them to still hate each other.

But the show is about a vampire with a soul not a show about two vampires with souls!

Regarding Spike moving to Angel. This WILL happen if Angel is renewed for a 5th season and ironically this one decision to bring him over may seal the deal (it will bring over a lot of Buffy viewers). No, Spike and Angel did not get along, but you can't base Spike gonig ot Angel on that theory, you haven't seen the rest of Buffy so you don't know what will happen.

I think Spike will come because I personally think Angel will fulfill the Shanshu prophecy and he will become human. That way when Spike comes, there is only one vampie on the show. Joss has said that Angle will undergo MAJOR changes next season and will have a new direction, and I think having Angel (or slightly possibly Spike) become human is a possibility. A very interesting one.

Whenever I picture the final, I always think of The Gift at the end of Season 5. Probably because this was kinda written as a final episode. Something like that would be great. This Seasons final is going to be a big surprise though, I cant think of anyway possible to fight the first.

My big long hard thing

I dunno about you guys, but I always pictured the series finale ending with a major fight, involving all the major heroic players (Angel, Faith, Buffy), their respective teams (Angel Investigations, the Scoobs, the Potentials) and some returning friends(Oz, Riley with a squad of his military pals) going against an army (prolly the Turok Hans and the Bringers). As much as I like Faith (much more than Buffy) I could see her getting killed off, and Dawn getting activated as the Slayer. The battle would wrap up, and the last scene would be Buffy and Giles training Dawn.

Woah, watch what you say there, buddy 😀

As for your idea, remember, we found out in "Potential" that Dawn won't be a Slayer.

Weird that this happens to be my one hundreth post, lol 😛
