How is Season 7 measuring up?

I'm sure this has been poster before, but I'm curious as to what you guys and girls think of Season 7 in relation to the rest of the series.

Can you please rank the seasons and if you like give an explanation?

for me:

1. S2
2. S5
3. S7
4. S3
5. S1
6. S4

**SPOILERS** for overall season storylines!

I get a queasy feeling everytime I think of Riley and the Initiative. TOOEY!

S4 & S1: I don't remember much os S1, so I just put it at the end, but I'm sure it was better than S4 😛

S2: Nothing beats S2.

S5: I loved the final 4 epps of S5, starting with Tough Love. That epp seriously put the storyline into edge-of-your-seat mode, what with the chase and all.

S7: The storyline has dragged a bit because the First Evil hasn't done anything but call up a Turok-Han. A lot of whole episodes have been dedicated to resolving certain issues, which is great, but they hamper the momentum of the storyline (ie. Selfless, The Killer In Me).

1. S7, so far, and then to think that the finale's are the biggest part of my judgement
2. S5 just beautiful, Glory was great
3. S3 it had great characters, and the overall storyline though not very cool, was served just right
4. S4 mayor downer was Riley, great stand-alones, but no real season feeling (final 3ep arc was great though)
5. S6 missed the exciting storyline, that went throughout the whole season
6. S2 nice stand alones, overdone storyline, little on the dark side
7. S1 try-out!
 
1. season 7. so far. they have cone up with outstanding epis! and the fight scenes are mind blowing... Buffy Vs. Tork-Han(sp?)
2. Season 5. Glory!!! Joice...Dawn??? wicked storylines!!!
3. Season 3. Faith?!! awsome eps! great season opener!
4. season 6. Ok... lots of magic! = willow! Xander Anya relationship. Spikes sole?!!!!! although i feel the season finalie was a bit far fetched. After Life!
5. season 2. Spike and Dru!!! Angelus!!! season finalie!!! and the eps in between!
6. Season 4. Hush=jeepers-creepers! Restless! one of my fav finalies and a good opener!
7. Season 1. introduses Buffy and the Gang! overall good epis. but shame only half a season.... bad fightings skills!
 
Yeah I'm thinking I should change S7 to #2 S5 to #3. S7 so far has had some very very good stand-alone episodes.

Also, I'm pretty sure with the 5-epp finale arc, S7 as a whole will beat S2.

S2 - My favorite season! The beginning of the B/A relationship and seeing Angelus the first time.
S3 - We see the return of Angel and we see the Faith the first time.
S5 - Glory! Second favorite villian ever in my own opinion! We see Dawn the first time and we were sad to see the death of Joyce.
S1 - So-so. We see the intro of our favorite characters.
S7 - Not good in the beginning of the season, but halfway it's getting good.
S6 - The return of Buffy! Too many Spuffy sex moments. Glad to see Evil Willow!
S4 - A terrible season! Angel, Cordelia and Oz lefted the show! Riley was terrible! Adam was a terrible villian! Glad to see Angel kicked Riley's ass! Glad that Faith woke up from her coma. And that season we first saw Tara.

it's better than last season, but still doesn't match up to the others. except for a few standout episodes like "selfless" and "same time same place", which were awesome.
 
i didnt really like same time same place...

but i loved selfless and help. help is one of my favourite buffy epps.

1. s3 - FAITH, the Mayor, lots of good "senior-in-high-school" episodes/moments
2. s5 - "The Body," "The Gift," Buffy really started to grow up, Glory
3. s6 - I really liked seeing a darker side to Buffy, lots of great Spuffy action, "Once More, With Feeling"
4. s4 - had some great stand-alones, like "Beer Bad," "Restless," and "Hush". It was a cute season. (Even I don't know what I mean by that, lol) But Riley/Initiative were boring
5. s2 - good Buffy/Angel drama, but it got repetitive
6. s1 - too "demon-of-the-week", characters hadn't been totally established

I don't want to put s7 in there until I've seen the last 5 eps (because they'll probably rock!), but right now I'd put it right below s5.

EDIT TO ADD

After having seen all of Season Seven, as well as rewatching all of Season Four off the new DVDs (it's actually not so bad!!), my order is now as follows:

1. Season Five
2. Season Three
3. Season Six
4. Season Four
5. Season Two
6. Season Seven
7. Season One

S4 <- I wish it never existed! ("Beer Bad", "A New Man", "I In Team", "Goodbye Iowa", "Where the..." etc.)
 
S2 - best storyline
S1 - hard to top the original
S3 - still a good storyline
S7 - pretty fun so far, but not really epic
S6 - some of the best episodes in there
S5 - nothing really special
S4 - bit disappointing after first three seasons
 
S6 (Spuffy Rules.. to me anyway)
S5 (Glory was great, introducing a new character Dawn, Joyces death and Buffy's tear jerker death)
S2 (Angleus is back after 100 yrs, Buffy has to kill Angel, Drusilla and Spike are introduced to our screens)
S7 (Have'nt watched much as i'm from england.. but it looks great.. the characters are more matured.)
S3 (Angel come back and Faith is introduced... Cordy and Angel leave for LA.. much loved characters)
S1 (Introduces the characters and shows that they can fight evil!)
S4 (it was the worst season ever!!!! It should never have been aired apart from episodes Pangs and Something Blue)

I'm obviously one of the only people in the universe who feels this way, but I LOOOOOVE "Beer Bad"!! ::water:: It makes me laugh so hard. Buffy is so cute and funny in it.... "TV is a good thing. Bright colors, music... tiny little people...." I couldn't have said it better myself. 😀

...And for the record, I also loved "Where The Wild Things Are" :: tu ::
 
this season blows a phatty...they've jaded buffy so far that she ain't cool no more...they've left off episodes that were uplifting and positive....and the writers are completely out of ideas...

season 3 will and always will be that baddest ass season ever....it had charisma...the intangible kind...not the drop it like its hot type....
