I hope until 1/2 way through this season - how cool would it be to watch her destroy some Vamps just by stepping on them or popping off their heads like Dandelions 🙂

That would be kind of cool!!!!! & It seemed Josh W. was sooooo nuts about having a BIG Dawn, that I can't see him having W fix her in the 2nd comic.

Well the cover for no. 4 has a big Dawn on it, so I would say at least 4 issuses.

yeah, i'm going with BEG. she's the cover art for issue 4, so i'd say that she gets fixed in that ep.

I wouldn't say fixed - I did see the cover of that - she kind of looked happy to be big 🙂 as a matter of fact the cover is in my Signature if you look carefully.

I'd say she'll probably get changed closer to the middle of the series and it will be a big deal

I hope she'll stay big long enough to give us a little insight into Dawn's relationship with the Thricewise.

I can see her being big for a really long time... I'd say half the season or so if that was an option.

I'm thinking at least through the first 1/2 arc, then since the focus will shift, Dawn's situation will be taken care of.

im sorry. i havent read the comic, so i dont know everything,
but dawn BIG? sounds kinda cheesy..
then again,
still havent read the comic..

What?! Dawns big! ah i havent read the comic either. Ive been avoiding spoilers, but the title came up in the "view new posts", so i clicked it.

How does that work..? Dawn being big? No wait, dont tell me! Im going away now...

It does sound so cheesy, but it really doesn't feel cheesy when you read it!

It would be too simple to say that Dawn will stay big until Joss and Company decide to make her girl sized again, but I'm hoping that there will be some reason for her increased size other than just another plot twist. Maybe there'll be a King Kong sized demon she'll have to save everyone else from, or maybe they'll need a house moved.

I didn't vote in this poll because there really were no inbetween options to choose from. The first three options amounted to "she'll be back to normal by the end of the first episode", and the fourth option went to the other extreme.

Considering that each four-issue arc basically amounts to one TV episode, it wouldn't make sense for Dawn to be back to normal at the end of the first arc unless the first arc was focused on her turning into a giant, giant-related hijinks ensuing, and Buffy and the rest finding a cure for her by the end.

Besides, Joss Whedon has stated in at least one interview that Dawn is going to stay big for a long time. To me, that says that she'll probably be big for most of the season.

Joss presumably made Dawn into a giant for two reasons: 1) to give Dawn a reason to be in the eighth season at all (she would have simply been off to college otherwise), and 2) to throw a brand new dynamic into the Buffy mix. As far as I know, there has never been a giant "good guy" character in Buffy (or in Angel for that matter), and Joss wants to explore the possibilities that are opened up by having one in Buffy.

Wasn't there a comic book character at one time called ant man, or giant man, or something like that who could grow big, or small at will. It would be cool if Dawn could do that.

tehe...She squarshed Amy with her foot.

The character started out as Ant Man, then evolved into Giant Man, then later Goliath. At first, he had to take these instantaneously acting pills to effect the changes, then later he could do it by will power alone. He was one of the original Avengers, along with Thor, the Hulk, Iron Man, and the Wasp.
