I have an interesting problem where I am. Buffy plays opposite American Idol.

I want to watch American Idol but it's no contest. I'm watching Buffy.

It got me to thinking;

Under what conditions would you change the channel.

Oops...I just realized something. I should have offered an option in the Poll for "Never".

Note to mods:

I tried to post this in the Caritas section, but the board wouldn't let me.

Sorry, can't vote, my option wasn't in ... it would have been level 6 Never!

yeah, i tape AI then I watch it after buffy.

i have piano lessons now that go from 730-830 so i tape buffy and watch whats left of idol at 830-930 then watch the tape.

Let's see... I don't watch Friends, or any of the Olympics, and I couldn't even sit through the first Lord of the Rings... I'm sorry, but I think Buffy is more important than the end of the world. And I'd probably go out (dying), having Buffy be the last thing I watch.

I don't watch American Idol (can't stand that show). I'm always home Tuesday nights. However, I do watch Gilmore Girls, but I tape both Gilmore Girls and Buffy. Then again, I tape all my favorite tv shows; I've got around 300 tapes in my room. It's really quite pathetic...

The only way I would change channel for something I really liked is if I knew the Buffy episode would be mainly about a character I didn't like so much. Othewise, never. The idea is just obscene to me.

I might consider changing it if a bomb was going to be dropped near my city. But even then, I'd have to tape it just to make sure I didn't miss anything.

here's a question....
buffy or angel

i'd watch buffy...only cause the beast thing is dragging on in Angel...

if it were the current season, i'd rather watch angel.

as for the thread question, i don't care about any of those other shows, and lotr can easily be seen on dvd. i don't even know what american idol is. but realistically, i'd probably miss it if a nuclear attack was likely to happen.

There is nothing that would take me away from Buffy. Not even the nuclear attact. Lets face it, if they were dropping the bomb on my town I wouldn't get far enough away before it happened to make any difference so i'll go down doin' something I love.

yeh im with allycat id be voting level 6

lol, the only reason id change channels (excluding in ad breaks) would be if
a) i died holding the remote and it made me press on the channel changer
b) it was a repeat but a new episode f angel/GG/charmed was on another channel, but that would depend on WHICH repeat it was, if rileys in it it would take pretty much the LOWEST level of interest for me to change the channel lol stupid boy
or c) there was a live broadcast by the cast of BtVS and AtS thanking me for watching and loving the show so obsessively for years, on another channel!

I voted 'Never' which I added as an option for you, and have also moved this thread to Caritas for you as requested. It'll probably get more of a response there.

Like I said I voted Never, and if my wife Anya, goes into labour with our latest baby, then I'm afraid she's just gonna have to hold it in for a while, lmao 😉

The only thing that would tempt me away from Buffy (or Angel) would be England in the World Cup Final, and I would much prefer to watch LOTR at home as it is meant to be watched - on a widesreen TV in glorious Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound.

The end of the world simply doesn't compare to watching Buffy. 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀

Nothing could make me miss Buffy, unless I was actually dead and buried, which I don't plan on being in the near future!

Oh, and Wes hon, if you're daughter decides to put in an appearance during Buffy or Angel, then I'd like to see you try and stop her! 😛 Then again, if it's the season finale, I might just have to cross my legs till it's finished! 'lol' Maybe it'll make the labour less painful - well, I can hope, can't I? :: wacko :

lol @ Wes and Anya -- hopefully she decides to wait until after Buffy is over!

Anyway, if there was a nuclear attack as I was watching Buffy -- MEH! I'd go out watching my favourite show, anyway! So pretty much nothing can make me change the channel during Buffy. I mean, I'm REALLY bad for flipping channels on commercials, but I NEVER do it during Buffy, just in case I miss something!

NEVER unless I'm made to by my mum and dad, screw you! And if England were in the World Cup Final, I would record Buffy and watch the World Cup. Then I would watch Buffy afterwards so I didn't miss out on any thing.

nothing could tear me away from watching Buffy nothing! the only way it could be done was if i were to be attacked!::huh:: ::love:: <<< me watching Buffy ::fire:: ::devil:: ::light:: ::crying2:: <<<resume watching buffy with blood running down the side of my face!
