How many songs do you have on iTunes?

Right now, I'm not on my family's computer, so i can't give an exact number...

We had so much music that we had to buy an external hard drive.

Sco, can you tell us more about it? It's free? How they do that? Is it a service like Pandora or Accuradio? Or do you actually get to listen to exactly what you want?

It's like Pandora, but all my European friends say it's much better. I signed up, but didn't hear back from them yet. That's all know, which isn't much. lol

Assuming it will not be different here than the UK (and the rest of the world) they do have a free service however you get commercials about every 15 minutes and only get X number of hours a day. It is exactly what you want to listen to. There is a huge library. I know many obscure bands and all of them were on there. Just do a search and get results. You can create a profile and share music between friends. It can look at your playlist and load everything by that artist or similar artists.

The premium versions (maybe 50 bucks a year, guessing) you actually download the song and listen to it offline.

It's similar but better than like a Rhapsody and Pandora cannot compare. The selection of songs is amazing.

Your answer was better than mine. :)
1755 songs, but that's cos I've not bothered putting all my music on my laptop. A mixture of stuff - The Clash, Devo, Foo Fighters, God Is An Astronaut, Justice, and er... The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Original Soundtrack...

Ok, so similar to Rhapsody but that sounds more affordable. Especially if at that price you can download and own that music! (did I get that right?). Do they have an iPhone app. I went ahead & registered. Are they only allowing a certain # of members or something? And it's legal?

Yes, it is legal, and no you do not own the music. You can download it, but it cannot be burned to disc or anything, and the only device in which you can play it is spotify.

Over 6,000. And there's a ton of music that I haven't bothered to download because I still listen to CDs sometimes...

I had to install a second internal hard drive to accommodate my huge collection of music and television shows. Yes, I installed it myself. Yes, I am a geek. 🙂

I have 1500 (give or take) on my Zune at the moment. I had more but recently did a clean up of my music.

None, zip, zero. Don't use iTunes. Used Spotify for a while (since it's been brought up) but don't anymore. Might get it back once I feel I can pay the small sum to get it commercial free. Cleaning the songs my computer. Far from finished and I hope to delete a few hundred. Also old enough to have a few hundred cd's. Got rid of quite a few so maybe it's less than 200 now. Hopefully.

I do believe I have some...20,000 songs

It could be anywhere some 20,000-25,000

After losing count at around 8,000 I sorta just kept downloading without caring. Still do 😀
