So I bawled, I'll admit it...at the end of 'Chosen'. I knew what was coming cause I'm terrible watching it on DVD I read the spoilers and such.

I don't know if I cried more for Spike/Buffy or just in general that it was over. That moment you realize you can't hit NEXT and play the next episode. This is kind of a random thought...

I had the whole evening planned to watch the last epy and my boyfriend ruined it by mocking the show and laughing at Spike going up in flames. You can only watch it for the first time once...and its never really the same.

Done rambling now.

cry? i don't think 'cry' is the right word for what i did when i watched it...or when i watch it again.
i admit it, no matter how many times i watch 'Chosen' i cry like a baby. i don't exactly know the moment that sets me off, but i do know that Anya's death is what REALLY brings the tears. her death was so sudden and unexpected. i read the spoilers too, and i knew Spike was gonna die, any they said one other person, but at the time i had no internet connection, so i didn't know who it was. i was expecting Dawn or Xander, but not Anya.

I know...everything about that episode was so final, so *over*. I held back because my boyfriend was laughing at me...but I still bawl like a baby everytime I rewatch it.

I cried really hard too. It's a sad thing, you know. But he's resurrected back in Angel's 5th season

Yeah, I probably cried more because Btvs was over... and Spike was gone. Little did I realize - He's gonna come back. Hehe, these really are fun

I shoved everyone out of the room when I was watching this for the first time, because I swear I would've killed anyone if they had made any comment that wasn't worth talking over the episode for.

That is too funny :D
I dont' think you need spoiler tags for that seeing as its aired pretty much everywhere 😉

I didn't really cry that much at Buffy, more for the fact that it was over and the deaths in it, Angel I cried more at.

i knew about Spike going over to Angel, so his death wasn't as 'final' as i would have liked. it would have been nice to watch the first ep of Angel S5 and see Spike appear at the end...i would have enjoyed that! 😀
but his death was still both awesome and sad. when i read that Spike was gonna die in 'Chosen' i expected him to be decpatated or killed by an Uber-vamp...in fact, i was even ready for the remote possibility that Spike would lose his soul somewhere during the ep and Buffy would ahve to kill him. i imagined all sorts of senarios about Spike's death and not one of them had anything to do with him sacrificing himself to save the world...i feel ashamed of my lack of faith in my fave character...

I totally agree

Yes, I was just using them just in case EDG hadn't seen Angel yet.

Yeah I skipped through seasons 2,3, and 4 of Angel just to watch 5 with Spike. :D
Chosen never really got me teared up even though I knew that it was the last Buffy ever. I was a little sad about it though. Okay, a lot sad about it. The one that I teared up in was The Gift. Especially because I thought THAT was gonna be the last BtVS episode.

The Gift was terrible sad..I don't know which one I cried more over.
i didnt cry as hard as for some other episodes, but yeah, ill admit to shedding a few tears. mostly less cause id been spoiled by hearing about it so much. id browse through sites and BB, and id be very spoiler-phobic up till id seen all the eps, and yet i got spoiled A LOT! i did love the episode though! and anya was one of my favourite characters, so it was sad seeing her die...especially since it was so quick and unnoticed. i wish there'd been a bit more time and it was a bigger deal than that.

I shoved everyone out of the room when I was watching this for the first time, because I swear I would've killed anyone if they had made any comment that wasn't worth talking over the episode for.

i always did that! id watch all the eps by myself, no one else allowed, then id share them with my friends or whoever, and even then id have to tell them to keep their mouthes shut all through it!

EDIT: thanks Ladybug! id rep you, but i just did! :silly:

You're welcome ;)
i cried a lot cause in that part when dawn asks buffy what their gonna do now i realised that i will never see a new ep of buffy again.. i was so sad... 🙁

no! at the end when the grr arg monster turns to the camera to say his last line...and knowing that that's the final time we'll ever see the grr arg monster change to match the ep!!

i never even saw that! i always miss when it changes cause i usually just stop it after it ends. the credit music sometimes ruins the mood...
Aww, yes, that is very sad. I think I had just stopped sobbing by the end of the credits, and I was wiping my eyes, then of course "ooh, here comes the grr, argh monster" and then of course, there's the grr, argh monster... but he turned toward the screen. I went hysteric and started crying my eyes out again.

EDIT: Spoiler tag time again!
...But he comes back on Angel too!!

yeah, but on Angel he never changes to match the ep. on Buffy, in certain eps, he changed. in 'Becoming PT2' he said 'i need a hug', in 'Graduation Day PT2' he wore a cap, and in 'Storyteller' he sang 'we are as gods!'
there were others, but i can't remember them right now...i think there was one on 'Phases' and one for 'Restless' or 'Hush'.

I wasn't really refering to the changing episode themes, just that the grr argh monster was on there... now I wonder why I really even used those tags. Oh well. Still think they're fun.

I must be the only person on this board who didn't cry during "Chosen"...

Actually, I was relatively glad when the credits finally rolled, because I felt that it was an awful way to end the show. I was thoroughly disappointed in it, so no, I didn't cry. Although I did feel terrible when Anya died. I certainly wasn't expecting it, because I tried to remain as spoiler-free as possible.

But I did cry during "The Prom"...if that redeems me at all. 😛

In the end "Chosen
I didn't cry either, but it wasn't because I didn't like the episode, it just takes alot to make me cry. It didn't really have the sort of things in it that make me cry. I bawl like a baby whenever I watch the gift, but nothing really tugged at my heartstrings enough in Chosen.

Don't get me wrong, I loved the episode, and I was sad to see Buffy and Spike seperated and really sad to see Anya die, and Xander calling for her, but there was just something about it that wasn't enough to make me cry.

When I saw 'Chosen' for the first time I cried like a little baby. It was so sad. I couldn't belive that it was over, that it was the LAST Buffy episode EVER. God, I cried. And every time I see it, over and over again, I still cry. I just can't control myself. It's like the tears are summoned by a cry-demon or something 😉 God, I'm so geeky 😛

We're ALL geeky... not a bad thing at all ;)
I bawled my eyes out the day before 'Chosen' aired because I was so terrified to see how it turned out and so devestated that it would be the last episode, even though I had read spoilers.
I cry in many episodes, Becoming, The Prom, The Body, Seeing Red.
I think I even may have cried once in Fool For Love.
