I'm 18 since October. It's nice being able to get into places and buy alcohol etc now.
Had a beard for a couple months and that made me look about 19 or 20. Didn't get asked for ID.

Shaved it off yesterday now, and I'm back to looking like I'm 17. 🙁

Surprised at the amount of people who are older, on the forum. It's a nice surprise though. The internet is full of stupid illiterate kids, it's nice to have some older people to have decent discussions with.
No offense to any younger people on here either. You guys seem pretty awesome too, and more mature than most.
Whedon fans always seem to be pretty clever. 🙂

I, on the other hand, am always so surprised at all the younger Buffy fans (in a good way of course). The show initially aired 12 years ago, & I just always assume younger viewers have moved on to something newer. 🙂

That's true actually. Good point!
I guess I sometimes forget how old the show actually is.
I watched it all over the space of about 15 months maybe. Just finished it in July.
I'm watching Angel now. On season 4.

I suppose that's one of the best parts about Buffy and Joss's shows. They're so timeless. People are picking them up and watching them from the start, even now, 13 years on.

I'm into 90's shows though. Right now I'm watching Twin Peaks, and gonna start The X-Files soon.
 
I'm 18. I look so young though I will probably end up getting ID'd for the next decade or so 🙁

Well, I was a small todler when it aired and I actually remember hearing about it all the time back then, so it doesn't seem that old to me since it went on it my generation. But I like alot of different shows, and one of my favorite shows "I Dream Of Jeanie," aired in the 60's and 70's. But I guess I'd be considered a younger fan seeing as I'm still a teenager lol. Although, I do like alot of shows on now, I will admit that the shows then were better and I remember when Disney Channel used to be good.

Not go of topic with what channels were good then, but I like this quote that my friend has on facebook that says "When I was your age is was The Amanda Show, not iCarly."

Yeah, this isn't really the kind of place that has a huge amount of pre-teens or young teenagers I suppose, and the ones we do have a are generally mature and well written above their ages.

Buffy is a mature show (Angel even more so) and to be honest, I just don't think it's suitable for a lot of 13-15 year olds. Of course it depends on the child, and if they're watching it with supervision so they can discuss what their watching, but I don't know if many 13 year olds are old enough to be discussing things like rape, torture, and having hate sex...

I'm *just* on the scale. I'm 22.

I get carded for cigarettes still. I've been able to buy them for four years. But when I was 14, I was asked what alcohol I wanted at a restaurant with my friends, and at 16, when I got my first job, my boss didn't understand why he needed a worker's permit from my school... They thought I was 21. I act older, but I look younger.

I agree as well, although I do allow my kids to watch some of Buffy & Angel. I pick & choose though, I'm not going to let them watch the more intense stuff or sexually explicit scenes. & I have edited the concept of the curse for my 9 yr old LOL. My 6 yr old loves Buffy though. We recently had a little Oz-fest at our house, watching Phases, Beauty & the Beasts, & New Moon Rising. There's just not enough werewolves in the Buffyverse he has decided. 🙂

So cute! And I was a pre-teen when I started watching Buffy with my mum.
I am 22 years old, I'll be 23 in August 😀.... Lets see I joined this here board when i was.... *does math* (This may take a while hmm) oh yes... I joined when i was 14 years old, lol now thats a lot of changing to do lol....
 
Im 24. I too am a little surprised to see some of the younger Buffy fans here since the show aired about 12 year ago....I felt really young when I watched it as it aired. But it is good to see that the younger teens know what good tv is 🙂

I'm 27 but only with facial hair it would seem. When I shave I magically become 18 and get asked for ID a lot, and then get asked for a second ID because they think the first must be a fake. I've been told a lot that I have a "baby face", which is cool, and "baby eyes", which is effin' weird. I'm pretty ok with it until someone a year older than me starts talking to me like I'm seven.
