how old is james marsters??I have been trying to found out how old he is but every website has a different age for him,they range from him been 28 to 40 so how old is he really??also if you don't know his age how old do you think he is??I think that hes about 30,he looks to young to be 40,please help me and thanks in advance!!
 
Does that really matter? He looks great, his performance is brilliant, his voice is to die for, so who cares about age? If I were JM and you'd ask me, my answer would be: how old do you want me to be

hey thats kinda cool his b-day is only 18 days after mine now i can remeber it. So lets see he is 30 and single and only 14 years older than me i think it could work 😀
 
He's 31. .... wich makes him 15 years older and ... I hate to disappoint you, but
 
well i heard that hes 34. August, 20 1969 is what a lot of sites say is his birthday😀

Oh! I know this one! all this info is in his bios everywhere, just do the math.

James started on Buffy in 1997, so if he is 33 now, he would have been 28 when he started on the show. Prior to Buffy, he did 10 years of regional theater, (bringing him to 18) and before that he attended Julliard for 2 years (16 yrs old) he also went to another couple of colleges but lets just subtract one more year (15 yrs)....he says he bummed around NYC for a couple years after getting tossed out of Julliard and before persuing the acting, so now we are down to 13 years old or so when he graduated High School. Somehow, those numbers just don't add up. Try the same thing with 40 and it works out much better.

OK, let's take this birthdate, 20-08-'62. I, being an American, am not used to this format, but I assume it means that JM was born on August 20, 1962. So, let's figure this out.

If James was born in 1962...
In 1972, he turned 10.
In 1982, he turned 20.
In 1992, he turned 30,
In 2002, he turned 40.

Happy 40th birthday, James!

I agree, though...James being 40 is hard to believe. But not impossible.

No offence to you or anything but in order for James to be 31 he wouldn't have had to be born in '71 because David Boreanaz is 31 and he was born in '71. plus if you do the math for 2002-1962 = 40 and if you do the math for 2002-1971=31.
 
Ok, maybe math is not my strongest side, however the question is is he 40 or 31???

I don't see him being 40 ... that would be really .... well ... that can't be true, can it?
 
31? 33? 40? Whatever his age, he looks great and he must have a reason for keeping his birthyear a secret. Has anybody noticed that he is one of the few actors on either show who manages to keep his private life private?! Well done, JM! This way we can really concentrate on your achievements as an actor and musician.
P.S.: On a buffyboard in Germany they even argue over how tall he is since they don't seem to be able to convert feet and inches into metres and centimetres!!!!!!
 
You make a good point, about his private life! .... Why don't we know anything about it? .... Maybe we should focus on that 😛 !
