Every sordid detail is encouraged. You're amongst friends, and we won't tell a soul...unless lots of money is offered. (Preferably in unmarked bills, of course!)

Couldn't help myself, just HAD to get more KFC. This time, I might pour maple syrup on
it as well. Considering the current state of America, why the hell shouldn't I indulge myself more than usual?

Being a proud hedonist, a few pieces of yummy KFC, two biscuits, and a large container of mashed potatoes (with gravy!!) ain't so bad. And yes, I'm putting butter on the biscuits. ๐Ÿท

Butter AND honey, I hope you mean!
Maple syrup on chicken? Dunno bout that. Sounds good for biscuits, though.

Seems like most people I've known prefer the crispy version.
Original recipe is yummy! Still dunno how their original recipe chicken sandwich didn't catch on. ๐Ÿค”

Autumn has always been my favorite season, but the older I get, the more ga-ga I get for spring flowers. The rhododendrons and azaleas are so stunning this year! I've been taking walks all over the place just to see them, and so far no one's told me to stop staring into their yard.

My sister was being a drama queen and spoiled the incredible mood I was in. So I had to find something that made me happy.

This is one of my favourite people in the world being silly to amuse his daughters. I've posted it once before, but he's an awesome guy (and always makes me laugh) so I'm posting it again.

Went to bible study yesterday. Always makes me laugh when my teacher prays that I can pay attention and stay on topic ๐Ÿคฃ after that I went down to the city to pick up a library book and some pet supplies. Got sushi on the way home.

Today has been nice too, went for long walks with the dogs, its just a nice time of year so I dont have to rush to beat the sun. Did some washing, gardening, cleaned the kitchen, washed my hair. I need to bake some anzac biscuits and a quiche tonight because tomorrow the congregation is going to one of the disabled sisters houses to help her clean it up as shes moving into care, and then a big shared lunch after that. I'm still trying to figure out how I will fit the whipper snipper in my tiny car...

Woke up kinda early and couldn't get back to bed. So was about to take a long hot bath.
All of a sudden I look outside and see bunch of smoke coming from back of house kind of across the street!
Was about to call 911, but I heard sirens. Fire trucks and ambulances came.
They put out whatever was on fire. Found out bit later that the idiots had a bonfire that got out of control.
Guess they added items that you really shouldn't burn. Got to love living around rednecks. ๐Ÿ˜’

Reminds me of old joke my dad used to say...

Q: what separates an Ohio redneck from a West Virginia redneck?
A: a river

I think the "fire" emoji means "cool" or something else, but seems appropriate for your tale!

I'm dying laughing !
Went to visit my mom earlier. Mind you, my stepdad told me she really wasn't doing well but I went anyway. (I love her more than ANYTHING and its Mother's Day, after all!) Even though my truck leaks coolant daily and overheats like a mofo, I went anyway.

Long story short, went into mom's room and saw just how much she's deteriorated. I told myself, "Don't you dare cry!" The woman feeding her made the massive mistake of telling me I couldn't come in until mom had been fed. I came in anyway and just stared at the woman for five minutes. That's all it took.

That place is $8,000 a month! Apparently the woman was new, but that's no bloody excuse. Thank God another (more experienced) woman took her place. Only reason I didn't verbalize the horrifying things in my mind is because Mom might be mistreated by the first woman. And then I'd end up in jail, I kid you not.

Anyway, drove home with the smell of burning coolant and/or oil...then the truck began jerking back and forth. It nearly stalled. Yep, the fun never stops. ๐Ÿ˜‹

A bit lonely since it's Mother's Day and my husband is out to sea, but some friends invited me out to the indoor playground so the kiddos had some fun and I got adult socialization.

I'm tired and my husband is making sure I get spoiled when he comes back. He did call twice though, which is nice and the connection wasn't bad for him being in the middle of the ocean haha.

My mom passed in '09 so I've spent a lot of Mother's Days without her, but now that I'm a mom, it hurts a bit.

Now that the kiddos are in bed, I'm gonna have something sweet, my Cherry Coke and game and practice guitar until I go to bed ๐Ÿ™‚ Might write a little, might start experimenting on the tablet my husband got me and that I put Krita on, too ๐Ÿ™‚

My husband comes home soon but it is NOT soon enough. Whew!

Happy Mother's Day!! โค๏ธ
I had a walk with a friend in a park with an unbelivable profusion of azaleas everywhere. Lots of people were out walking amongst them. Then we went to McDonald's, as one place that wouldn't be booked up for Mother's Day. My friend's mother called as we were getting ready for me to drive my friend home to her. She was concerned that friend's dad had gone off on a walk and had been gone too long. Fortunately, we saw him coming home as we arrived, and as I suspected, he had just lost track of time.

I'm thinking a lot of my own mother today, who passed away almost eight years ago now. She always wanted a book for a present, which most of the time she never got around to reading.

A few hours ago I came across a large field of daisies dancing in the wind. It was beautiful (and breeze felt nice). I'd have stayed longer, but others thought something must be wrong with me and it broke the spell.

I feel you. My mom passed away 9 months ago.
The power went out again today, so unfortunately I couldn't do the vacuuming. I'd already seen the neighbours for a cuppa this morning, and taken the dogs for long walks around town so we decided to go down to the coast for an afternoon walk by the water. It was warm and still, the water was like glass. I tried to take photos of the poodle but she was mesmerised by it and refused to look at me. We had a nice little walk, there were very few people and only one other dog. So it was peaceful. Both dogs were so well behaved and seemed to enjoy it. They tire out fast in new places! All the new sniffs to do. They found a rabbit or maybe a bandicoot trail, so that was great for them. We saw a few lizards on the paths sunning themselves too.

On the way home we went to maccas for chicken nuggets. Poodle tries to bark at the people in the windows, but the blonde dog learned the first time what a drive thru was and sits nicely waiting for her nugget. They were wiped out for the drive home haha. Not a peep out of either of them since dinner. The power is back on now, obviously, but looks like the shops have been told the power will be out for them tomorrow and the petrol is still out for now too.

I miss living near the coast so much...
I gave my mom a pink purse yesterday! She was really happy.

Then I went to this anniversary party. The couple was celebrating their 25 years of marriage, so they rented out a fancy restaurant. The food was nice, but I'm a pescatarian and it was mostly meat. What I did eat was delicious though.

I did my makeup really nice and took some pictures. Though I was struggling with my hair before the party. I was so stressed. I think my hair's fried now ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

I went home at like 11 and fell asleep a few hours later.

I feel you. I'm a vegetarian and its hard at some restaurants to find food I can eat.

We are alike! I also have to stop and stare at beautiful flowers. Those other people just don't get it. You have to appreciate life's beauties when you get a chance!

I was waiting for a phone appointment all day, which stuck me in freeze mode most of the day. I dont really know exactly what it is for, they are vague but the last GP I saw sent a referral to them, and he was very good, so I will go along with it for now. She did say I was in control and it wasnt a mental health order, but I definitely meet access for community assistance. I know I can manage about 3 appointments before I have a nervous breakdown, so Im hoping the face to face appointment is a few months away. I really hope it is more than just chatting about feelings. I did that for years and it didnt help at all, but maybe they can refer me to something else if they arent the right place. I duno yet. We'll see. If its another dead end I dont want to try again. Im pretty safe in this house and I dont want to jeopardise that.

The dogs are still exhausted. Its quite funny. Its a sunny day outside which they usually love to be out in, but both have begged to come in to sleep on the couch. All the windows and doors are open so it is pretty outsidey inside anyway.
