Okay, so I've just watched all of Angel and all of Buffy, and I'm suffering severely from post-Buffy depression, seriously, I'm not even kidding. I keep getting reminded of it and crying :'( Has anyone got any suggestions as how to deal with it?

I feel your pain - very familiar with the letdown of not having any more new Buffyverse shows to watch. The only thing I can suggest is to start your rewatch immediately. I'm in my second rewatch of BtVS now (third overall) (and I'm going to blend in the AtS shows when I get to season 4) and it is really, really satisfying. Not like the first time through, but almost as good.

A rewatch isn't a bad idea. You got 12 seasons alltogether even if one is just "half". You got loads of books to dive into, both fiction and none fiction. All o go even deeper into the verse. Plus the comics if that's for you.

Or you could watch something else to distract you with. Whedon made or not. There's many great shows out there well worth watching.

I don't know if this is the case for you but for many the depression/sadness about the shows being over are at it's worst right after finishing.

I remember how depressed I was when the last season aired, during the whole season I knew what was coming - the end. It's still hard for me to watch the last season because of it. What kept me going? Hope. Hope that someday there would be something that continues the series. Film, animation, spin-off, and all of the above almost happened. And that hope never left me, I wouldn't let the show end, I kept believing like a stupid person that something would happen someday. And, well, it paid off! The comics were announced! So that took me out of the depression, the fact that the series continues. Now, I don't like the comics or this media very much, but it helps me to know that the fandom isn't dead yet.

I've watched Firefly/Serenity too. There is always the motion comic, but it's just not the same. What I am doing is showing my friends Buffy and watching some important episodes (Musical, Hush, The Body, The Gift, all Jossodes) with them. I've begun Supernatural, but I don't know if I'll close to it.

I get into reading the books. They're almost like episodes we never got to see. I love them! There are some great recommendations in the Buffy and Angel Book Discussion Thread.

I understand the feeling. The series ended the day after my 15th birthday, and then Angel ended on my 16th.

How far are you? Not all, but many that love the show don't think it's getting real good until the end of season two. Which can feel very far away but trust me, many that wanted to give up on the show but told to continue are often thanful for the pushing. Not saying that would be the case with you, but you should be aware of it.

Not that far at all, just finished first episode :L I will try with it, family members have recommended it. 🙂

Ah, not very far at all then. Keep at it. Personally I love the funny episodes the most while some just find them silly in a bad way. Hope you grow to like the show.
Smallville, Supernatural, Firefly, Dollhouse and RDM's Battlestar Galactica (because it's the greatest show ever!) are what helped cure my depression

I want to add to the recommendations and tell you to look for fancomis(look in my signature), fanfiction, fanmade musicvideos, fanart or why not make some of your own? Make some Buffy arts & crafts(for example custom action figures). Maybe try roleplaying on this board.

There's amazing fanmade stuff out there. Interactions with other fans is probably what kept me cemented in the fandom after the shows ended on TV.

Read Buffy/Angel books? I don't know. I waited 10 years to watch Angel, and I chose to watch it at the perfect time in my life because it was almost like Buffy all over again. It was so nice and just, surreal. I mean 10 years without any new Buffy episodes, but watching Angel was kind of like having more of them. Slightly different but still, lovely. Read Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Philosophy 🙂
