"Hi, This is Pakistani Pete calling from the pen company you always use. What if I told you we had a special promotion going and--"
We're good. Have plenty.
"The last time I see you buying pens was in 2020 and you only bought 500. Are you not distributing them?"
No, that's why I said WE HAVE PLENTY.
"So even if you could get a one-time offer of 50% off you wouldn't be interested?"
No, WE HAVE PLENTY.
"What kind of offer would--"

click.

That's why people get pissed at telemarketers. I know the whole don't take no and what not but, take a no!
I'll take 500 pens, with how quickly I manage to lose them, 500 might actually last me to the end of the month!

I used to buy boxes of Bic disposable pens. I don't recall ever throwing one away because it had run out.
A partial quote from Illyria definitely describes my feelings: "I will shred my adversaries; pull their eyes out just enough to turn them toward their mewling, mutilated faces."
Epiphany! I just realised that I feel like this quite often. 😄

I once asked an acquaintance if he thought I tended to overreact. He said, "Well, sometimes you do go from zero to psychotic in under ten seconds." At least he was honest. 😋

Thing is did he like the plot you had chosen for his grave? tee hee.
Thanks @JustCallMeDarla , your parking trick worked 😉 so the most stressful part was over quick. I was a bit amused by the MRI music, Wonderwall, gangsters paradise and I actually giggled when Ol man river (tism) started. And then when I got in the car, Down with the sickness was on the radio. What is the music trying to tell me?!?!!??

Tried to find a new phone and laptop while I was in town, but they all sucked. Took the scenic route around the coast instead of going through town, was very pretty. All the animals were happy to see me when I got home. I am very happy to be home.

I told you!!!! <3 <3 Happy it worked out!

With the truck in the shop, looks like I won't be driving today...or perhaps the rest of the week. We'll see. If I REALLY need to go anywhere, I'll use Lyft. Because there's no way I'm getting on the bus. Nope. Things are too crazy in LA now. Lots of random violence taking place on the buses and trains.

What are you still doing in LA ? wouldn't it be cheaper to live literally anywhere else in the US (except NYC of course) ?

That's a big misconception, LA is about the cheapest place you can live in the US.

For now, it's a case of "better the devil you know." And I want to be close to my mother while she's still alive. But eventually, I'll move.

Last study skills session tommorow, it's sad but at least we will be going to the pub after.

I can have a Pepsi and some chips.

The auto place called and said they have to order a part for my truck. It won't be there until next Wednesday, so I'm getting a ride to pick up the truck at noon and I'll take it back when the part is there. No sense in letting it sit there for a whole week. It's my baby. ❤️ And I'll have it for the weekend, which is a plus!

The guy mentioned error codes, solenoids and some other stuff. Luckily, it's only going to cost $650 to fix. I mean, I'm not paying it, but I'm sure my stepdad will be less annoyed this time around.
