How was your day 2: Electric Boogaloo

So every so often I get this urge to do more charity stuff. I think I went too far this time, I'm now trying to organise how to get a splash pad area for the town.
One of the girls I grew up with started it, but I know what she's like, doesn't really understand its going to take years to get the council to agree and get the funds to set it up, so myself and another lady have kinda taken over. I talked to one of our town councillors yesterday and she was positive about it and we both have our eye on this one area. However she did say a few other things need to fall into place before we should approach the county council. So definitely a long term project.

Internal work rant: *See, I was right, you should have just listened to me from the start and not made a fuss.*

I'm having a great day . The hawthorn is just coming into blossom , a bit late , the bluebells came early but they're still flowering like crazy . It's my favourite time of the year .

Hawthorn is a scrabbly nothing sort of tree , burns pretty well , but utterly unremarkable in the British countryside . But for a few short days it turns into one of the most beautiful living things I've ever seen . For as far the eye can see by me , the hedges are lit up by these patches of brilliant white blossoms .The pinks come later but right now it's the purest white . I'm not really a flower guy , but I love that hawthorn bloom . It's got an architectural vibe to it , almost like it was a sculpture planted on purpose to spruce the place up .... Then it just goes back to being a dirty , spikey little tree 😛 .

Ugh. My business partner is in the process of starting a new business. Getting ready to break ground on building the warehouse.

He: Can you design some pocket folders, brochures, etc
Me: Yup.

Me: Here ya go. What do you think?
He: It's great we just need the contact information on it.
Me: What contact information
He: You know, address, phone number, etc
Me: But you don't have an address, phone number or etc yet
He: Is that a problem

I suggest if this is a partnership, you should incorporate immediately because as partners, you would be individually responsible for business debts incurred by your partner or yourself. A corporation stands on its own and if it goes into debt, the creditors can't go after your personal wealth like your house, your car or any other thing you own that is not part of the business. Your partner doesn't sound like he's got both oars in the water.

I have poured the water out of my pasta for years now, I even have a fancy strainer to keep the pasta in...how do I burn my damn thumb? Something went wrong and now it burns 🙁

Sitting with an icecube on my finger...at least I've got one of them plastic cubes that don't melt straight into water.

You gotta be careful there, as ice can burn you.

He's got too many oars in the water and far too much money to worry about even bothering sitting in a boat when he can just jet over the water. He lets me row while he buys up land and companies like he's playing his own private game of monopoly.

Which is why you must incorporate. If his high rolling goes wrong, as a partner, you carry the responsibility. When I was a consulting engineer, I incorporated and the only thing the corporation owned was a Dell Dimension 2400 computer. If the company defaulted on anything, that is all the creditors could seize. My house, cars and other possessions would not be affected. Fortunately, no such event happened.

Today will be a good day. Got a bunch of dinner leftovers and a whole program of religious stuff to devour, yay. 🥰 Nice to have it all planned out for me.

Dogs were a bit nuts last night. They are going to have a quiet day if they can manage it. One of the old ladies with dementia was talking to the dogs over the fence last night. They lost their minds barking, they hate when people lean over the fence, they think they are in danger. They're not. Poor old Dotty was sayin "Hi Hannah, HI Lucy! Arnt you lovely!" And the dogs are like "aaaaaahhhhhhhhhhgggghhhhh woooooof yap woof yap GOAWAY scary old bat!!!!". I didnt go out there cos I didnt want to get lassoed into a loooong chat. She wasnt far off the names. I only told her yesterday that they are Lilah and Harmony. So that was a good effort on her part. After that the dogs were spooked all night. It was the coldest night so far this year so people were out partying til late. The stars were spectacular. The dogs didnt want to come in to bed. If I didnt have them, I wouldn't have got out of bed today.

So, is a little secret embezzlement an option for you? Sounds like this guy wouldn't ever notice! 🤑

I got mail 😀 I went to take Lilah walkies and something told me to look for loose dogs, usually I look down my road, but today I looked up the highway too, and sure enough there was a big bull type trotting towards us. I rushed Lilah back inside and went out by myself to see if I could move it on but by the time I got back outside it was gone.

Went for a quick walk around town and to the post office. I got mail 😀 but the process of sending things is sooo sloooowww. Its always been a slow post office, there is no need to rush here but sometimes I find it unbelievable just how long anything takes.
Gotta have a chat and all that ughh.

Didnt see the loose dog on my way home so took Lilah out to the park. Had quiche for lunch and now watching tv til my food goes down enough to vacuum and clean the buns litter out. Yeah, feels like a full day when everything is slowed down to post office pace.

Half term has begun wooo.

Only four more lessons left (two weeks) after half term and then the course is over forever.

It has been a long road and I'm glad I have survived it and didn't quit.

Proud of you!
I went to the carwash and halfway through, I was wondering why I felt water on my arm. Turned around and noticed that the driver side rear window wasn't fully rolled up. Water and soap suds were all over the the back seat, door, and floor! I screamed a lot of very bad words as I quickly rolled that window COMPLETELY up. (This has never happened before, I usually double check stuff like that!) When I got out of the carwash, I pulled over to the vacuuming area and dried everything as best as I could. The carpet and seat near that window were completelyI soaked. The water also blew out the stereo speaker in the door, which I noticed a little later. 🤬 Damn it!!!!!! That REALLY sucked.

To make my day suck less, I bought some chocolate fudge frosting to put on the brownies I made yesterday. I opened the can when I got out to the truck and ate some frosting with my fingers. Pretty sure I looked demented, hostile, and antisocial. But I didn't care! 😅

The new and improved brownies, now with fudge frosting!

November: Now I know I read November's post wrong (#172), it started I got mail I went to take Lilah walkies.
Me: Poor Lilah, is forced to have a walk every time you get mail.

November: And something told me to look for loose dogs.
Me: Now I admit I was a little confused at that point, were you looking for the loose dogs for you or for Lilah?
Me: Another thing was about these loose dogs; do describe them as loose due to them not being on a lead or because you think they are sexually available. At which point I began to worry about my friend November!

November: Didn't see the loose dog on the way home so took Lilah out to the park.
Me: Did you go home via the park or do you take Lilah to the park every time you see a loose dog?

November: Had quiche for lunch and now watching TV until (her) food goes down enough to vacuum and clean the buns litter out.
Me: What is the relationship that exists between having quiche - watching the TV - and doing the vacuuming.
Me: Come to think of it, when you say clean the buns out, I hope you do not refer to the Bunny's as (affectionately) buns.
Me: Might the loose dogs get jealous over your (November's) comment about the buns?

So, as the thread asks about my day, yes, I've had a good day!

Im glad you've had a good day and a laugh 🙂 I dont want the loose dogs anywhere near me so they can get jealous all they want about the buns!

Lilahs walkies today was great. She acted like a fully trained dog! Past the ranger and the cops and another dog. Its super windy and she was just a delight. Yes she does have to go walkies everytime I check the mail cos we only have PO boxes at the post office, no home delivery here! At least the post office is actually a closer walk now than the mail box was was when i lived on 144acres.

@November.
What the! Australia Post do a mail delivery service? Like you there's no delivery service here yet they charge you (me) for a mail box, as if I have a choice? The Australia Post place is about 6 k's from me.
If I lived on a 144 acre place sods law would have the house as far from the Aust. Post place as possible and there would be a sodding river 'tween me and them.

Yeah its pretty mucked up that we have to pay for PO boxes when its less work for them than delivery. The delivery peeps should be the ones paying more for mail to the door!

Doctor bulk billed today. Duno why she wouldn't do it for me last time! She wanted to refer me to a neurologist. No. Ok she said, how about drugs? No. Offered anti anxiety drugs first, and then antipsychotics when I refused them. Double NO. I asked to be referred to physio. So thats the next go. Hopefully it can coordinate my legs. I just fell over in the kitchen and was mauled by puppies. Cant complain about that landing.
