How was your day today?

Ughhhhhh. That's how my last few days have been. With this artic storm, part of our water is frozen so we had to go to a laundry mat to do our clothes (today on Christmas), had to have family help out with a heater so we don't freeze to death because we have no heat. I've had a cold for days. Just can't wait for warmer weather!!!

I decided that my day was going so well I would say my day is wonderful, so I thought I would share my day with everyone else, so I hope you realized you are having such a wonderful day - AND NO BLOODY ARGUMENTS, OR ELSE !

Did you tell the shetland pony too?
What is a butter finger? Is it a biscuit? Im sorry to hear it was a crappy Christmas @Anyanka Bunny Slayer

I have been looking at boxing day sales online and am severely disappointed. I dont want to spend over $35 for an airfryer. The prices havent dropped any more since the "black Friday" sales. Black Friday killed the good boxing day deals!

I have a cart full of clothes on 4 different sites but havent checked out cos its always such a risk buying clothes online. I cannot stand in store clothes shopping either and the stuff online is cheaper than the op shop, but I still dont want to risk it...

In saying that I had some people drop by unexpectedly this morning and boy was I glad I was wearing clothes today! I probably didn't make a great impression anyway, but still better than if I had been in a stretched out t-shirt from 1995 without a bra.

A mix of good and bad. Good is that we’re finally home from vacation. Bad is that we’re finally home from vacation, lol.

Not looking forward to getting back to business as usual!

How are all you snowy folk doing? *Sends some hot air your way*

I am sitting under the air con today. Did a little scroll on fb before turning it off again. Everyone looks the same. No joke, they all have the same style dresses on, same poses for kids photos and newborn displays, same presents, toys and holiday decorations. The only thing that differed was the holiday destinations. The bogan people went to Bali and the rich to Margaret River. Wearing the same bathers and hats and beach poses with hundreds of likes. Its unreal to see this roll of same after same of the people I knew before. I dont think I am jealous of it, or want any of that (it looks like a nightmare to be honest), but is a shock to see how similar they all are despite being unrelated people. And people think I am the one in the cult? Im not even in a cult yet, cant find one to take me!

I gave the dogs some new chews to try. Called "woofin good". Smelt absolutely revolting. I gave them half a stick each. Lilah sniffed the entire length like a fancy cigar before accepting it and scoffing it. Harmony took hers under the air con and started rolling on it. Smelt that bad! Lilah is now trying to steal Harmonys, with absolutely no luck. Hopefully they dont get sick and are happy enough to settle for this hot afternoon while I find some easy TV to crochet to.

Great day! Walkies in the rain! Best way to walk! Its much cooler today, a very welcome relief. Harmony, Xander and I all struggled in the heat yesterday. Lilah and Anya seem unaffected, if not more mischievous than usual.

We all have full breakfast bellies and are blissed out in the lounge room with all the house open to let this lovely breeze through. Its a good day.

The "check engine" light went on in my car 4:30 pm New Year's Eve. Mechanics aren't working until possibly Tuesday. Sigh, always the way.

Unless the check engine light is flashing, there is usually no immediate need to fix anything. If it is flashing, you have a misfire that may be dumping fuel into the catalytic converter, which will kill it.
@Ethan Reigns It was flashing. Luckily I only drove about another mile. But your info leans me more toward having it towed to the mechanics, rather than driving it that last mile. Thanks for the info!

How was your day today?

Don't know, it just started! I'll let you know a little later!
Same here! Its not 7am yet.

I have SO much to do and doubt I will get it all done. Priority is watering the garden and vacuuming. From there I will be happy with anything else. The hedges need chopping, the lawn (weeds) need mowing. The buns pen could do with a clean. Dogs paws, faces and butts need trimming. Lots around the house needs tidying and organising. Must stay OFF Instagram or it will diagnose me with autism again for stalling and being unproductive lol.

But first, walkies time for the dogs!

Well I got half the hedges done. And I do mean half 😆 the front half of the front hedge, one half of the driveway hedge, half the hedge on the side of the house and half of the front little poof ones. I ran out of energy by 10am. Poor effort. I couldn't even do waitresssing for a job again if I cant even manage being on my feet for 4 hours! It does worry me how weak I am now.

Saw my neighbour on walkies. He gave me puff pastry. Maybe a hint to start making him pies again haha. I think I might try chicken sausage rolls since there is so much of it. Gotta cook up some dog food today too. I still haven't started the vacuuming....

The today I had yesterday was quite good, thanks, but the day I'm having today is a bit slack.

So far so good managed to wash my hair and dry it. Figured out how to put the big playmobil man outside, so getting there with the one handedness.

Yesterday was a bit of bad luck that could easily turned into much worse luck.

In the winter, I normally take the MX-5 Miata out for a drive once a week to keep the battery charged. Recently, I have been hearing metal-on-metal screeching sounds from the left front suspension. I was about to take it out today when I heard a clunk from the front. I was still in the driveway, so I stopped the car and got out and took a look while turning the steering wheel back and forth. It all seemed to be OK, so I tried to back out again and there was a much bigger clunk followed by the car settling down at the front. The lower ball joint had come apart.

We have two days of rain in the forecast followed by a day of snow and clear but cold weather after that. Wonderful conditions. But I thank the Lord I wasn't out on the street when it happened.
