How was your day today?

Just got another grocery delivery. I have  too much food this week but needed fresh greens for the bunny ones. The delivery dude was very angry. Chucked a huge swearing screaming tantrum in the street. I got the gate for him because last time he didnt shut it. He was a very angry man and I am not sure if it was because he realized he had a witness to his screaming fit haha.

The milk is split and leaking and some bits are missing, but the worst part is that my fresh greens were in full sun while he chucked his tanty and they are all wilty now. Not great for bunnies (xander has megacolon and a very fussy tummy) hopefully it gets us through the weekend at least because its oz day long weekend and I do not want to be driving on the roads this weekend!

Dont think he will last too long in this job. The older men are so cute about it, this guy looked like he wanted me to die!
 
I wasn't going to mention this, but I HAVE to get it off my chest. My mother was transferred to a "skilled nursing facility." She's in really, really bad shape....in addition to the rapidly progressing dementia, she's taking A LOT of time to recover from knee surgery. Her doctors say she might need to stay "awhile."

My sister keeps texting me, saying I'm selfish because I didn't immediately rush over to the facility. She sent me pics of mom at this place and I cried. I TOLD her not to send me pics, but she keeps doing it. (I can't block her, because we need to be in touch during this horrible time)

And what's the point of visiting my mother if she doesn't know who I am anymore?! I'd like to remember her how she was...through I WILL visit her. It will rip my heart out, of course. But it's something I must do.

Honestly…I wish I had a good answer for this. The reason to visit someone like that is just to make them feel better for what time they have left. It is difficult, but it is better to give up a piece of yourself for them than it would be to live beyond them with regrets.

I wish I could say I don’t know what you’re going through, but I do. Things will only progress from here, but you can take even the slightest solace in the knowledge that you have time left with them to try and leave a lasting memory.

The faucet in my yard wasn't fully off, so I went over to check it out. I was wearing flip flops and tripped. Scraped my knee on the concrete, then my ass landed in the freaking mud. (I was wearing this boho dress I got from Amazon) If I'd been wearing JEANS, the fall might not have hurt so much! I was so pissed I just sat in the mud for awhile. There was no rush to get up. 😅

Oh!!! I wasn't sick/nauseous today!!! Maybe because I didn't eat meat last night? Either way, it's awesome!!!
 
Ouch! @Anyanka Bunny Slayer just one thing after another for you this week 🙁

I am wreaked today and it hasnt even started! Maybe the stormy weather, maybe the new moon, either way I am SO tired and on my 5th coffee with no improvement. I am glad I said no to an invite to lunch today. I feel guilty cos I know life is all about networking but my body just cannot manage that sort of drive today.

No walkies for dogs today. We've been out on the patio watching the storm high overhead for 3 and a half hours. Sometimes I really wish I had those talking dog buttons or tablet to explain to Harmony that wind makes noise, but its not a dragon. She gets frightened. Lilah doesn't care about storms, shes been dancing with a piece of potato. (Is there a video uploaded like photo uploaders for forums? Her dancing is hilarious!)

Time for more coffee!!

So, an update three weeks later. A part had failed and was leaking oil all over spark plugs etc., which ruined them, and the resulting misfire caused fuel to get into the catalytic converter, as @Ethan Reigns predicted. Thing is, the part that failed had been replaced by the dealership only 17 months and 2100 miles previously. So now, I'm trying to get them to pay for the damage. They only offered to refund the cost of the original repair ($250), not for the ensuing damage ($1100, plus maybe another $2000 if I have to replace the converter). Not good enough, so I contacted the state attorney general's office. I may have to go to small claims court.

I've been dealing with and stressing about this for three weeks and am really sick of it. It's nice to have a little time to post on the board again!

I have been cleaning all day. The new vacuum has so much power! But I need more bags for it already ha. The bunnies will be getting a new cardboard city tonight when I give them the box the vacuum came in 😛

The old truck slop cafe has changed hands, and the new owners are calling it a general store now! I want to go check it out, but the bitch who ran it before is still working there. I am sure it will be ridiculously expensive anyway. I'd look like a freak if I left empty handed.

The dogs have been such good girls today. I am not sure if the naughty is still to come...

I'm amazed you could still find a vacuum that uses bags. Most nowadays have a compartment that needs to be emptied, which is a dusty mess. I've kept my old one going because I prefer bags.
So, the hands on the Doomsday clock have moved to 90 seconds to midnight.

Does that mean Sineya are going to win the dorm trophy? At last.

Been having a great couple of days, Monday I got all clear from my back surgeon to ditch the brace and return to a normal life! YAY!!!
He did put me on lifetime 30-40 lb lifting restriction, and then said just be careful and don't overstress your back. Then I able to put in some time on and finish a song I've been working on. It's a cover of song one of my fellow songwriters wrote. (but not Buffyverse related though) It was a lot of fun and me back into the swing of things.
Today it's snowing so it's a good day to stay in and just relax. Luckily it looks like it's smelting as soon as it hits the ground so that's great with me. I've always believed that snow belongs on Christmas Cards and calendars and NOT in yard! ❄⛄

It was almost that low in the '80s, and we survived it. But I think if it's getting closer to midnight, that means the forces of darkness are winning, and therefore Black Thorn must be ascendant!
