How Was Your Day?

I woke up well today, so that was nice 🙂 the rain on the roof overnight was so relaxing. Now I have two very muddy puppies asleep on my lap.

Yesterday sucked. Went to the physio in the morning to try and get help for my leg. He went on and on about wanting to adjust my neck. I kept saying no, because I have never been to a physio who hasn't triggered a migraine. I was crying saying it was not worth the risk of a migraine occuring and I did not want him to touch my neck. Then he lectured me about making good choices and if I dont make good choices I will never have a good life. My choice was to not let him touch me. He was not happy about that and lost it saying well what do you want me to do for you? And I again, asked for some exercises for my leg. He gave me two exercises to do and wanted to book another appointment. I said I will book online. I will not. I am not going back to him. Plus the appointment fee went up to $90, which I didnt know before I went in.

Went shopping after and it was packed because I got there the same time as the seniors bus. As I had reversed out, another guy on the other side of the car park reversed into the side of my car. Massive crunch. Dent and scratch under my back window/above the wheel. No damage to him cos he was in a trayback ute and the tray hit me. He checked i was ok, and we left it at that. I painted the scratch as soon as i got home so i hope it doesn't rust. It was a bad day.

I cant get the tv to work today, but it is ok cos this new phone can do logic puzzles 😀 and the radio works. Its very wet outside but I should be able to get both dogs walked. They are fast asleep right now, keeping my leg warm 😍

I just ran a fresh out of the oven hot apple and choko pie to my neighbour. Everyone was out chatting to neighbours today! I wish I had put my poncho on instead of my fluffy bunny jumper haha. Half the street would have seen me jog across in pink fluffy slippers with a braid falling out of my hair.

I think someone from town must have seen me at the docs the other day cos the neighbour asked pointedly if i was ok. I said oh yeah fine and he gave me some rhubarb and warned me not to eat the leaves 😀 I have some apples and choko so I will make an apple and choko pie next. I regret not bringing him some soup too cos he was saying he didnt know what he was going to have for dinner. I have leeks from the garden I need to use and potatoes from the shop so I should have done a soup rather than sweets. Oh well. Maybe tomorrow.

The garden smells spectacular! All the bulbs are flowering and beautiful. I spent a good chunk of the morning weeding. The dogs helped, by eating weeds and barking at the magpies. Its been a nice sunday.

Toby, our 14-year old blind Border Collie has been miserable with the heat the last few weeks but we caught a break today - the weather was 13°C/55°F this morning when I got up so instead of walking the dog later, I took him out at 6:10 AM. He managed to go about three miles / 5 km without any problems. By the time we got back, it was 18°C/64°F, so he doesn't have to go out later when the temperatures get dog-hostile.

Went out early for once just to the corner shop because I was craving chocolate and ham sandwiches.

Don't really fancy chocolate and ham sandwiches. Nearly bought a ham and cheese one. Did buy a chocolate bar. But I don't think ham and chocolate go together!

I was craving fish and chips last night, and I mentioned it to the lady who I was giving a lift to and she asked for a detour to the chippie and offered to buy me some, I felt guilty about it, so just had a portion of chips.

I'm always in the mood for fish and chips. Yum
Can't wait to see what the urchins do for me today, now that I turned a year older. I bet it involves a high calorie count.

Hope it was fun :)
One little thing made it a bad day, but besides that, the dogs made it a good day. They are such good and well behaved puppies for one year olds! Im so happy with them. They had bathtime today, both were so good and so funny when its time to be dried off. And now both are wiped out so no walkies today. Which is a good thing because its 'drench the town in glyphosate' day, the buggy has been doing laps.

The bad thing was my bank shutting my card down for suspicious activity... a grocery order that I do twice a week. The block also blocked the delivery for today. So no groceries for us. I am going to have to drive out of town to go shopping. I am going to get myself chinese food to make up for the discomfort, as long as my card works! I wish I could take my puppies to the shop with me. It was not a day I had planned my energy to go out on so it's going to suck.

Oh, dear. Hope you get that sorted.
The rain has hit 😃 i got both the dogs walked this morning and the clouds were amazing! I have never seen clouds like that, wavy in shape! Spectacular! We knew this rain was coming and all the houses around town were getting their fires going in preparation for the temperature drop. It was an ominous feeling around town, the oldies do NOT like the cold. I just love this kind of thing, closing everything up in preparation for the storm. I love the feeling in the air.

Clear today and most of the water has drained away. I took both dogs for a long walkies in the middle of the day. My head is sunburned. I got a chicken and salad roll from the cafe. Then we napped. Harmony hasnt been on my bed much as its very high for a little dog, but I put her on it for a nap today and she figured out pretty quick where to sit. Lilah was the one who woke me up and now we are all up and shes asleep on my lap!

I mailed in my questionnaire for jury duty yesterday. I have been in the jury pool twice before but never selected.

The first time I was in the jury pool, there was only one case of a child molester. He copped a plea rather than letting it go to trial.

The second time, again, there was only one case on the docket but that was a doozy. A Chinese man living in Toronto came home to see his girlfriend on Skype with a former (she said) boyfriend who was still in China, so he went to the kitchen, got a knife and ran her through. The boyfriend in China saw it all and called the Metropolitan Toronto Police and gave them details but by the time the police arrived, all they saw was a massive bloodstain on the carpet. Then in the following weeks, pieces of this girl started showing up in dumpsters all over town, an arm here, a leg there and finally all the body parts were accounted for.

This is the first week I have been out to local cafes maskless and today have a sore throat. So Im hoping its just the cold air and not a virus.

All of the pets are being supremely annoying. Xander was humping poor Anyas head. She didnt even tell him off, but did escape the rabbit run and bounce around the dogs. The dogs both need clipping and wont have a bar of it anymore. I have brand new clippers and they arnt clipping well so I cant blame the dogs that much, but I do just want to get them done because the longer we muck about the more days we have to muck about with it.

Not too bad today but last few days have been a bit pants as Abbs has been illy. All good now so unfortunately I have to go back to housework and such.

Did I just stumble upon the world's smallest church? I went up to Sauble Beach on Lake Huron on Monday and on the way, I found this place at 718708 Highway 6 just northwest of Owen Sound:

The scale of this place is really small - I could probably drop it into my backyard swimming pool.

It's hard to believe it ever had a congregation, so it is probably just a site put up as a tourist attraction. I signed the guestbook and one of the names was Ciara, the Irish Gaelic spelling of Kira or Keira or Kyra. Is this place internationally known?

The interior is not much more than the width of three doors.

Plastic sheeting on the windows keeps a nice green ambience for the six people in the seats.

This is a picture from the roadsideamerica.com website giving a decent frontal view:
