How Was Your Day?

I have a light in my kitchen and bedroom! Its odd, I am going to have to get back in the habit of using light switches instead of the torch haha. Although now I can really see how dirty those corners are!
 
Work has been SLOWWWW this week but I am off for the next give days - just one more hour to go!
 
Long but good, had a good few hours catching up with a friend, did remember the gift. Popped to the garden centre on the way home to use the loo, bought a courgette and a butternut squash plant. Came home to mail!
Had dinner then up to allotment to plant the new ones and my kale plants as well. Gave everything a good watering, did a little weeding before remembering I ran out of milk and needed to go to the shop. So finally got that and just relaxing at home with the cat. Buffy will have to wait until after work tomorrow now!

One night a while ago when I was driving, I somehow managed to pick up some random UK radio station! I wonder if you could do the same, pick up an aussie station haha. Maybe it was just a UK show on an aussie station, but with the net these days you could probably stream anything! Not that you want to do that on your on dime at work, only if work pays haha.


I got a weird email. A few years ago, I had booked and paid for a cruise as my friends were doing a destination wedding. Anyway, covid happened and I thought I had lost everything I had already paid for. Turns out, they are doing the cruise this year. I dont have flights, but besides that it's pretty much all paid. They said its not too late to go, but I think it might be since I dont have a passport. If I dont, I am getting a refund! So yay for that! But then, maybe I should go since I will never have the chance again... I duno. I am not a traveller but I have always wanted to do a cruise before they are environmentally banned, like straws.


Doggos were GREAT on walkies today. They are so much better behaved when they have a few hours away from me. I went to the physio and they were alone for 3 hours, now being so so so so so good I guess because they dont want me to leave them again 🤣

There's a website that allows listening from all over the world: Radio Garden Ive used it a few times when I don't know what to listen to.

Maybe work out how much it would cost to go on cruise and find out who would look after animals, no point in paying for flights if no one willing to look after the animals.

Mum would take the dogs just for fun haha. Shes been begging to babysit. Xander might be dead by then, poor old man bun. But yeah I think even organising the passport is beyond me right now. The holiday itself would be well supported since these people have 2 other disabled women in the group and I've been away with them before so know they are safe and supportive types. Besides flights its all paid for, but things always cost more than I think they will and going on a holiday on such a tight budget probably wont be all that enjoyable. It was booked when I still had job prospects haha. Not like I deserve it when everyday is not a work day ha.

I went into the shop today, I buy way more convenience food when I go INTO a shop ober ordering online. Easy roast chook, bread and yogo for dinner tonight! Speaking of, better feed the dogs, harmony is trying to boss me into the kitchen.
 
Went back to the dentist for a checkup (don't know the correct term in English) but basically I now know everything that needs to be fixed and can send that off to my social worker and then they will pay, hopefully, around half of my upcoming bill for all the work. I'm glad to have that done.

And this morning, my Shein package came, so I've been busy; I put the magnet calender on my fridge, filled my new (gorgeous) 1l water bottle with ice and water, hung up the mosquito net (right on time, two wasps came in before it came up), and tried on the clothes I got. I also finally (I bought it last week) unpacked and put up my floor fan and packed away the old one.

So now I feel like I deserve to do nothing for the rest of the day (especially after walking a lot to get to the dentist and then home again!) 😀

I will train to make curls on off, I recently bought a Remington : Pro Spiral Curl on Amazon. I never did curls before (other than naturally) and I don't want to burn my fingers/hands.

Well when the batteries die on that flashlight you won't have to worry about those corners anymore! Problem solved!!!!🔦

I worked in the shop/garage and finished a couple more craft signs to take to a friend who has a small farmers market kind of shop she runs at her place. 3 coffee cup signs and 1 with a dragonfly.
Her husband, son and brother in law build and compete those giant race ready pulling tractors.

Sorta, BBC local radio are striking. There's no local radio but they are playing music, no news, weather, traffic etc either.
 
Wow! I know that all of the media outlets there are owned and run by the...umm....state?.....government?...if that is correct? Or are these privately owned stations?
Is that also affecting TV broadcasts as well?

So bbc local radio, is usually one or two counties, with things relevant to that area, the bbc want to merge the majority of then into larger areas, losing the majority of the shows/presenters etc. So the presenters are on strike today, they did it before as well. Now all the local stations are just playing music with I'm guessing it's a guest freelance type presenter.
There's loads of commercial radio stations, both local and national, but the bbc is paid for via the licence that anyone that wants to watch live tv, or any bbc service had to pay for.
 
I switch between Triple J and Vision radio when in the car, polar opposites haha. Today Dr Karl was on the J's ranting about having to pay for car seat warmers to turn on via subscription and tech that disconnects when non branded parts are used. I am not looking forward to my next phone and laptop upgrade but it is very very close to that time.

I got Anya a new box today. She loves it! Already been playing in and on top of it. She jumped on the couch to give me little kisses on the nose to say thank you. Bunnies are such appreciative creatures! Unlike puppies, who rip the heads of teddy bears within seconds of receiving them.
