How would Buffy and the Scoobies have reacted to Illyria?

Let's say there's a late crossover in S5 with Team Angel and Team Buffy, where Illyria is introduced to the Scoobies? How would it have gone? How would they have dealt with her, particularly Buffy and Giles?

Buffy, I think, would have been more inclined to accept and trust Illyria, given her record of doing the same thing with both Angel and Spike, though her memories of Glory might make that a bit more difficult.

Xander would probably fall head over heels in love with her.

Giles is suspicious by nature. He would, I believe, be the hardest one to convince that she was an ally, but in the end it wouldn't really matter what he thought, because

Willow, the only one of the group to have ever met Fred, upon finding out that Giles had refused to allow Angel to contact her for help, would have turned Giles into a rat, then resurrected Miss Kitty Fantastico and locked them in a dark closet together.

ILLYRIAN agrees: Xander would want to marry her, Illyria would've looked down her nose at him.

Maybe not. Has Xander ever shown any interest in video games? Great loves have been founded on less.

Willow would have been pretty damn pissed. Giles said she wasn't available at the time, and that may have been the case (I might be being generous: I don't really trust post-season 5 Giles as far as I can throw him). I'm hoping he informed her after she returned from the astral plane, as informing her that a person she kind of liked died and that her help was requested would be the decent thing to do. I doubt it though, and I have to agree that White Avenger's idea of her turning him into a rat would be pretty justified.

Xander probably wouldn't feel much. He would be bummed on general principle that an innocent woman died, but he didn't know her, so there isn't any personal investment. Knowing him, he'd probably make some snide comment about it being Angel's fault.

Buffy would be wary, but she might trust Angel's judgment. She would also most likely side with Willow against Giles, because Willow's feelings and the fact that one of Angel's people was killed would override any patience she has with Giles.

Really, the fact that this rather large elephant in the room hasn't been addressed* in the comics is one of the (MANY) reasons they are such a waste of time.

*At least, I don't think they have. I stopped reading after Buffy and Angel's cosmic lovemaking birthed a Godless lion beast-thing.
