How would the Scoobies react to "W&H Angel"?

Just a funny idea I was thinking of today

How do you think the Scoobies would have reacted to Angel in season 5? Especially considering this...

The last time Buffy saw Angel was during the end of Angel season 4
Xander: End of BtVS season 3
Willow: towards the end of AtS season 4
Giles: End of BtVS season 3
 
I think they would have been disgusted to see Angel working for W&H. I don't think Giles or Xander would have been too surprised, but they would have been disgusted, nonetheless.
 
I feel like Willow would be the most sympathetic out of all of them, considering her transgressions in Season 6. She'd probably disapprove on the surface, but I feel like she'd understand that that was what Angel felt he had to do. Buffy would be pissed though.

I'm pretty much in this corner. Buffy's and the Scoobies world has always been, not black and white in itself, but more black and white than Angel inc's. I think the majority of them (Buff, Giles, Xander, even Faith if she counts as a Scoob) would have trouble coming to terms with Angel and his team working for W&H

I think Willow and Dawn (she seems fairly open minded) would be the ones trying to see the possible 'good' in it.
 
Well, judging by season 5 they don't react well. I agree that the Scoobies have always been more black & white than the Fang Gang.

Buffy would act holier-than-thou and be pissed. Giles wouldn't be shocked, but majorly disproving. Xander would be happy to have new material to diss Deadboy with. The only people in Buffy's camp that I see giving Angel a chance to explain himself are Faith, Willow, and Dawn.

I disagree, Willow was one of the first to call Angel out on being Twilight, its one of the best lines in the comics. Willow wouldn't want her friends to sign themselve for W&H evil corporation and to damm themselves, she's not that selfish, and I don't think she would approve of it. Angel was wrong to W&H and the way he betrayed his friends and endangered there lives by encouraging them to think it was a good idea is not something Willow would approve. She also is smarter than Angel and knows sometimes the ends don't justify the means, and she wouldn't trust W&H with her friends lives. I think she'd be pissed off if she found out the truth about Fred which she might, and Wesley two friends that mean a lot to her, she wouldn't want them at W&H. I'm not swayed the deal for Connor was worth it, it caused more harm than good, and it was also a cheat and I rather see Connor deal with what he did than to get the easy way out.

I kinda disagree, except for Giles.

Buffy and Angel agreed that Sunnydale is Buffy's town and LA is Angel's and they'll never interfere with each other or try to correct and save the other. I think Buffy would know deep down that Angel did what he had to do and that he had good reasons for taking over W&H.

Xander is way, way, way past dissing Angel. In S8, he was genuinely surprised that Angel would choose to be killer and asked why Angel would do that.

Willow was the one who showed a lot of hostility toward Angel being Twilight and she will show her displeasure at him being the boss of an evil law firm.

Dawn wouldn't probably care as much as the others. She'd say her opinion -and it can go either positive or negative, and that's it.

Faith would try to be understanding but deep down she'd feel disappointed at Angel.

I think that Buffy would be disgusted, and upset.
Xander would think its wrong, but would be very happy to have something to annoy Angel with.
Giles, wouldn't be surprised, but would be disapproving.
Willow, would be disapproving on the surface, but inside would be a little more understanding.
Faith would give Angel a chance to explain himself, but would be disappointed.
I think Dawn would be the most understanding and accepting of them out of all the scoobies.
 
Giles and Xander would have used it as more justification for their dislike of him, Willow would have major doubts and Buffy would have been disgusted but willing to accept it in time, just because it's Angel.

They would say "Stop lying, this place where you work can't be some all powerful evil law firm, if it doesn't have even an office in Sunnydale". 😀

They'd soon come to regret underestimating Wolfram & Hart and the Senior Partners.

There was actually an old fanfic (I can't remember the name of) that addressed this quite well. It was something along the lines of Mayor Wilkins having a contract with Wolfram & Hart stating that Sunnydale was his territory and W&H not being allowed to interfere there.

Completely agree with the majority of this post, all but Buffy's reaction.

I realize that Buffy and Angel had this understanding (that Angel gets LA and Buffy gets Sunnydale), but since we are talking about S5 Angel and S8 Buffy then Sunnydale is destroyed. Buffy does not have a domain anymore and ( Have not read the comics so forgive me if I am mistaken I am just going on what I watched in Angel) apparently chillin in Rome and running around Europe with her slayers. So still she should not interfere with Angel's business but..she does. In that episode where the crazy slayer cut Spike up and Andrew and a bunch of slayers take her away from Angel. That was a very hostile moment and I didn't like it at all...and then with Andrew's " where do you think my orders come from?." Buffy obviously does not understand Angel's reasoning and clearly does not care to know.

All in all, I think the hostility between the two groups is sad and frustrating...You are all friends and fighting the good fight so just leave it at that.

Or, related to this, it could easily be that Mayor Wilkins was the representative of the Senior Partners in Sunnydale. After all, he has sold his soul just like the Wolfram & Hart executives, and his general mode of operation is pretty similar to that of Wolfram & Hart. Sure, he's a mayor rather than a lawyer, but it's pretty closely related: They're all various forms of corrupted authority after all, and the perpetrators of the Inquisition and the Khmer rouge weren't lawyers either...

For that matter, it might be that Wilkins turning into a pure demon was an attempt to become equal to the Senior Partners. And the Senior Partners tend not to like having anyone as powerful as they are in the world, so they saw this as treason. The Senior Partners could have been the ones who brought Angel back from hell, and part of the reason was that Angel was going to help stop the Mayor from ascending.

I think Buffy still doesn't even know about W&H, she had a double like Andrew bragged about in the comics. I think Giles is the one that told Andrew to double cross Angel which was an awesome moment. At least someone told Angel what a moron he was being for thanking he could work for W&H yet still keep trust, and Andrew is pretty much proven right, you can't work on the side of evil or compromise yourself without consequences. Angel knew it was a mistake to go to W&H and Angel wasn't too concerned about fighting for good in that season, he did more good in earlier seasons, and more evil that season, and got most of the Fang Gang killed in the process.
