What a mean title! Ha!

Anyway, going by the show all Slayers seem to die very young and eventually so will Buffy. Now, she's definitely survived for a lot longer than other Slayers, but I truly don't see her living to a ripe old age.

With the comics also I kind of think it would be kickass if we got an issue or two that would hint at or even show her death. But I can see how that wouldn't sit well with the fans, i.e. Buffy's being killed off, her death could be underwhelming, cheapened, etc. I'd love to know what Whedon would do though. But then again, maybe it's sweeter not knowing.

Personally, I would love for her to go out big"”fighting a whole bunch of vampires all on her lonesome (or maybe alongside the core characters), with only a stake. Also, I wouldn't mind an all out to the death with just one vampire. It would be kind of cool if her last kill was either Spike or Angel, or both. Or, simply the three of them fighting alongside.
I wouldn't like her to die a natural human death, of an illness or the like, but I can see how that would contrast nicely.

So, what kind of death is a Slayer like Buffy worthy of? How do you imagine it?

Interesting enough, I had this dream a long time ago of Buffy's death: it began with Buffy, Xander, Willow, and Giles are at some alley for some reason. There, a portal opens to a hellish dimension where a demonic army is preparing to enter our world to unleash war aganist humanity. Buffy is the only one able to jump through it (maybe it has to do with her Slayer blood) but before she does, she says goodbye to her friends. She then goes through the portal and causes it to close behind her somehow. Once she is in a hellish dimension, she stands on top of a cliff and at the bottom was the demonic army. They see Buffy and begin charging towards her. Buffy gives a battle cry and is about to swing her weapon for a blow before the screen cuts to black.

Yes, it's similiar to the end of Angel but it basically means that Buffy dies doing what she does: slaying monsters.

THIS!
Actually, if I were going to write something about Buffy dying, I think that it would be something totally unrelated to demons or slaying. Maybe have her die in child birth, (leaving Spike to raise the twins as a single parent) or simply by tripping in the shower and hitting her head. Something totally mundane and unexpected, sort of the way that Tara died.

I would let her die, by someone who is allready very long with the show. Maybe a friend, maybe someone out of the scoobie gang. Maybe after a dispute! Falling stairs downside...after being pushed. Something very surprising and a death which make the viewers think about it very long!

I think that our beloved Heroine deserves a heroic death. I'd want it to be in a big battle, with her facing impossible odds and almost - but not quite - succeeding. 😀

I'm another vote for an unexpectedly human death. Car wreck, freak accident, etc...something final and non-supernatural. I like the idea that she can be unbeaten in battle, but is simply human in the end.
